Sorry, they get it wrong from the get go.

From your link......."To understand why the charge does not work, one must first understand the use of the word "father" in reference to our earthly fathers. "

Jesus isn't addressing the normal use of the word *father* by children.

The context here is where He's addressing the TITLES used by religious leaders. And He's talking to the DISCIPLES, the same ones that Catholics claim He gave the ability to retain and forgive sin.

So this is meant for them, and since y'all consider them a separate class of people, this applies to the rest of your hierarchy, just as Catholics claim anything else Jesus said to His disciples means through apostolic succession.

Matthew 23:1-12 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice.

They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others.

But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

And He gives the reason.

We are all BROTHERS.

Elevating one person above another is being a respecter of persons, which the Holy Spirit in James tells us is a sin.

But Jesus command is crystal clear.

We are not to use the title *father* for religious leaders, nor are they to accept it.

I see Rome's spin doctors are begging for money...

This is Catholic Answers’ most important fundraiser of the year, and there is still time for you to help.

Benefit?

I see.

A snippet of scripture from Here, a little from There, a tad from Over this way and BINGO! (OOps; sorry...) you have really good reasons for IGNORING Christ's words...

Call no man father.
