You are a person of intense research, finding the English translation of ancient Greek and Hebrew words and all.

While you’re working to compose a response to the earlier question as to why references to worship that you find do not include any OT quotes, and while you are searching for where in the New Testament that the Church condemns and mocks tiny cults for being tiny cults as you are wont to practice, if it pleases you, do some research on the Church over her first 1,500 years as she (the Church) condemned (as you do) the writers of the glories of Mary of which we read from the pen of numerous saints.

Oh, yea, I would also like to see which saints wrote the quotes on the glories of Mary which you so kindly presented, so you can also include where the Church historically condemned them for so writing, or at least if any of those quotes were gathered from the first 1,500 years of the Church.

If your catholic mind can get that far, it should be able to stop using 'mother of god' to worship the Mother of the man Jesus. Yes, there is the God part of Jesus, but Mary was not and is not the mother of that part. Every human has a body, soul, AND spirit. Mary was the blessed Mother of the body of Jesus. Since the Soul/Spirit of Jesus existed before Mary, well, she cannot be the Mother of God.

I know you understand this, yet because you worship Mary you make this stupid phrase a catch phrase. Mary is not the Mother of God, since God existed before Mary was even created. She IS the Mother of the human side of Jesus.

Now try not to make a fool of yourself trying to twist these TRUTHS to fit your cult dependence upon Mary for salvation vagaries.

Catholics can and will argue till the cows come home that they do NOT worship Mary. And Scripture does indeed tell us not to worship anyone but god.

Yet the facts are plain to see.

Exodus 20:4-6 “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.

However, God is VERY clear here that no one is to bow down before images or serve them and here we have countless examples of this.

It's obvious that just as Catholics persist in disobeying Jesus command to not address religious leaders with the title *Father*, and they do anyway, they also persist in disobeying the clear command of God in the second commandment to not make graven images and bow down or serve them.

Those images clearly show bowing, which cannot be denies as the claim or *worship*, which is a game of semantics.

Which is another fallacious argument, which thus far is all i have seen from you, for only prostrating before human dignities itself is not the argument for what constitutes worship, though you cannot find Elizabeth even doing that, but neither is that excluded from being part of worship, as forbidden in the 10 commandments and such as what the devil demanded of Christ. (Mt. 4:9) And NT believers are never shown bowing in obeisance NT believers (except in washing feet), which Peter himself disallowed. (Acts 10;25,26; cf. Matthew 23:8-12)

And in light of how both the OT and NT describe worship, one would have a hard time in Bible times explaining kneeling before a statue and praising the entity it represented in the unseen world, beseeching such for Heavenly help, and making offerings to them, and giving glory and titles and ascribing attributes to such which are never given in Scripture to created beings (except to false gods), including having the uniquely Divine power glory to hear and respond to virtually infinite numbers of prayers individually addressed to them.

Which manner of adulation would constitute worship in Scripture, yet Catholics imagine that by playing word games then they can avoid crossing the invisible line between mere "veneration" and worship.

Which is more desperation. While unlike Mary, God does say "thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name," (Psalms 138:2) and unlike Mary the Holy Spirit inspired 176 verses in one Psalm alone esteeming His word, not the holy instruments who instrumentally provided it, and unlike Mary, the Bible does "speak" the unchanging assured wholly inspired word of God, yet we do not beseech the Bible itself for help, and beseech it to intercede for us.
