I wrote about Max and Beth to defend Christian Trump supportrs

As I write you, 50,000 people have read the blog that mentioned Max Lucado and Beth Moore. Today I want to clear the air about why that happened. For me to mention the name of a fellow minister is like getting a root canal.  I only do it when all other remedies have been exhausted.  We are family.  We are all on the same team.  Christian unity is a witness to a dying world. So then why did I put out the blog?  I did it to defend Christians who are going to vote for Trump. Whether Max and Beth intended it or not, their remarks had the effect—I am being delicate and kind here—of questioning Christians who support Trump. Max openly wondered how any Evangelical could follow Donald. Beth did the same to Christian men who support Trump.  She can’t support Trump because he “objectifies women” and she believes he assaulted women.  She can’t see how any Christian man who would support Trump. But they are both doing something else that really hurts Christians who support Trump: They are being silent about Hillary Clinton.  They have said nothing against her.  More on this later.

Beth Moore is one of an increasing number of “Christian” CHARLATANS who have fooled so many for so long...

I heard a pastor once say that when we get to heaven we are going to be surprised at how we see there... and who we will not see there.

Thank you both for your posts. My friends have been trying to get me to do Beth Moore Bible studies, however my schedule is so tight that I go to Bible-only studies, as they are my preference. So, I will gently share this news with my friends. Beth Moore’s discernment is questionable.

Big time. Isn’t this amazing?

"she believes he assaulted women" // There is such a thing as bearing false witness - I think there's a commandment against that?

She wasn't saying she saw him assault women. She heard the witnesses and believes at least some of them are telling the truth. I know for a fact some of them are lying and I believe they all are plants by Hillary's campaign, but I don't know that for a fact.

If it turns out he did, am I guilty of bearing false witness? I don't think so, because I never portrayed myself as a witness. I explained that it was my opinion based on the limited information I have. Maybe Beth Moore has access to more information, or maybe she came to a different conclusion based on the same evidence. I'm not going to trash her based on that.

Wayne Grudem had a similar initial reaction, but after further reflection:

Also, it should be noted, Max Lucado worked with and promoted “The Story” which, despite the dire warning in Book of the Revelation, took words out of the Book of the Revelation.

For me, it has nothing to do with gender. She belongs to the group I call “Big Religion”. They have their self-enriching “Book of the Month” scams where they make money off of Jesus. It’s sickening to observe, but comforting to know that God will one day hold them to account.

Interesting Commentary:

Methodist Kudzu – The Problem of Beth Moore
SEPTEMBER 14, 2011 BY UMJEREMY

One of the more frequent arguments I’ve seen in the church lately is about Beth Moore. A colleague was asked why they wouldn’t allow a Beth Moore bible study to be used by a Sunday School class. The colleague responded with this concise one-liner that we’ll expand on in one of the longest posts ever at Hacking Christianity:

“If someone is setting fire to your house, why would you let them in?”

Beth Moore is an example of why the Apostle Paul said no woman was to teach doctrine.

She's putting her own feelings above God's gift of grace. This happens a lot to TV personalities and famous writers.

These people become so rich or powerful that they turn God's free gift, the gift they accepted and turned it into a works based religion for others.
