Prayers Requested

I have been diagnosed with prostate cancer and am going in for surgery tomorrow morning, so I will be out of touch with FR for a few days anyhow.

Prognosis is good as they caught it fairly early and it appears to be contained but I would appreciate any and all prayers folks might be moved to send up in my behalf.

Any prayers will be welcome, in any venue of FR, but if folks PM me, I will personally thank them and let them know how it went once I am home and able to spend some time at the computer.

Thanks also for the extra info - If I make 90, I'll have passed my expectations - am 63 now and hopeful that God helps me appreciate the experience by being more helpful to His children.

The doctor indicated it went very well and he expects best possible results. Few worries with a numb left foot after the 6-1/2 hour surgery and some subsequent swelling of the calf/ankle/foot, but it seems to be on the mend and is improving. halfway through the second day home, the scrotum filled with lots of fluid and became "unwieldy". . I'm told that this is not unusual and will also subside over a few weeks. Right now, doing enough moving to keep the blood flowing w/o overdoing it is main goals - and waiting out the 7-8 day period before the dang catheter is removed.

Expectations in His glory and goodness is high and mood/spirit are good.

I hope to come out stronger and a better purveyor of His Word when all is said and done.

Gosh - so sorry to hear about your brother. Sending my own prayers that God put His hands over the situation and comfort and heal all involved.
