Anyone who believes that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior and who follows Him is a Christian. May His peace be with you.

Jesus is God, the second person of the trinity, who is My Lord and Savior, and so much more. More than I can possibly comprehend. He is a God who is close to me; closer to me than I am to myself. A God who loves me.

I guess it makes it easy, not having to believe anything not in black and white.......is not enough; we GOTTA have 'sacred tradition'; too.

You should go start a anti-Catholic/Christian thread if you want to bash us.You should DEFEND yourself and Rome's teachings on this one.

Perhaps you should start a NEW thread to be rid of us HATERS!!!

They don’t have the mind control like in the old days to call up a thousand followers of the God of Peace to bind you to a pole and burn you alive.

Fwiw, I'm not a Catholic. Actually, I'm not really sure where I fit in modern Christendom nor what label fits me best. I'm just another soul looking for clues and gathering data.
The following link is from something I found in my seeking that has been very helpful and informative. Though I read it as though it is exactly what it says it is, I'm still not 100% sure what to make of this material. None the less, I cannot deny how it has challenged me and broadened my understanding.
I hesitate to offer here what to me has been pearls, but perhaps there are others with a similar curiosity who would also find it valuable.

Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
1 John 3:21-23
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

It seems that the Catholic Church claims it as part of it's teachings.
