This is just so wrong. (NRx)
That is so strange!
Meaningless without a loc.
.
More kids at that mass that I saw at church a few weeks ago. Whatever works—the word is the word.
Well, how about an underwater version with scuba gear and waterproof elements? I’ll go. :)
Matthew 18:20
Bless them all
Christianity has a long history of adapting to the needs of the parishioners.
Martin Luther’s A Mighty Fortress was adapted from a beer song.
I’m not Catholic and even I think that’s wrong.
Heard of a Manchester NH bar (Strange Brew) that was holding religious talks etc as part of a program called Theology On Tap.
Wiki:
>>Theology on Tap is a program of lectures sponsored by a number of local Catholic dioceses. The lectures, which are often given by noted spiritual leaders and religious academics, address current topics in religion and theology, and are notable and sometimes controversial for their venue, which is normally a bar or restaurant. The concept has become common among other Christian Denominations, particularly Episcopalians, Lutherans, Anglicans, and some Presbyterian and Methodist churches...Advocates for Theology on Tap, however, have defended the concept, calling it, among other things, the practice of “bringing the faith to where the people are.” The fact that the lectures are open to the public is also hoped to bring in a broad audience; one organizer has stated that the goal of the lectures is “to reach out to people primarily in their 20s and 30s that may have strayed from their faith.”
What am I missing? I see nothing wrong; unorthodox, but not wrong. I see schoolkids gathered in something that resembles a group Baptism. I do not see any snarky attitudes, I see no panicked expression of someone forced to be there against their will. I see new Christians being brought together in Jesus’s name.
What? Because they are in a pool vs a church?
Not always important. I was taught in Catechism that the real church is within the heart and soul of every Christian who loves God and His creations. This photo makes me happy to know there will be that many more Christian souls to counter the oncoming Muslim Invasion.
Baptizing a chocolate chip cookie?
The title reminds me of the legendary Yellow Brick Joke.
I see nothing wrong.
Especially for baptists.
Looks like a new age church. Yech.
Summer in Texas. The inside of their church is probably hotter than. And when did the Pope get in town? His idea I am sure. He is such a nut.
Baptists! Of course!
