Respected Vatican journalist John Allen reports today his speculation that Pope Francis just does not like America or Americans.
One major clue lies in the Pope’s periodic condemnation of “doctors of the law” and “traditionalists.”
But who are these vaguely-defined groups? After asking many people in and around the Vatican to identify those groups, “the answer I got most was ‘Conservative Americans,” Swiss-born Bishop Bernard Fellay of the renegade Society of St. Pius X, said in an interview with journalist Edward Pentin.

Well I don’t like him much either, so there.
Lets see...there are approximately 90 million Catholics in the U.S. If I were pope (ha), I wouldn’t piss off that many people.

It's amusing to me because so many non-Catholics REALLY pay attention to what ONE pope in the Vatican says EVEN THOUGH said pope has NO AUTHORITY over anyone in any shape, form or size.
That so many folks slam him shows ME that what he says DOES matter. It shows me that so many people DO care about what he says. Makes NO sense to me. But it is amusing.
God will judge us and He DOES know our motives. I leave my soul to God.

Why do you ASSUME that Pope Francis has pissed off all 90 million U.S. Catholics? He didn't piss ME off. Why would he? He can say what he wants. He is our leader in MORALITY and faith truths. Dogma HASN'T changed since the ten commandments.
Some Protestant denominations have changed God's laws, that is, those that allow homosexual "marriages," abortion and other mortal sins but not all Protestant denominations are the same.
GOD is my judge, NO ONE else. I always TRY to follow His teachings and always TRY to do the best I can. God KNOWS my intentions and I put my trust in HIM and only HIM.
Maybe YOU know many "pissed off Catholics"; I don't. It's difficult to listen to pissed off folks, even if they are right, especially about things THEY can't change.

"We"?? I don't like Obama but he's just one person. It's the entire Democrat party that is selling us down the river. Finding a candidate who has conservative and religious values would be the better choice to pursue.
Obama affects my life and lifestyle NOT AT ALL. The remote takes me away from his ooooogly face....and that's enough for me.
The pope doesn't affect my Catholic life either. He's merely a deputy of God's church on earth. The doctrine of the Church isn't his to change. He hasn't changed any doctrine.
He has opened up Vatican Square to a plethora of barbers and portable showers so that the down and out men/women of Rome (and whoever wants) can use these facilities. THAT, NATURALLY isn't broadcast as much as the media OUGHT to broadcast it. The media have always disliked the Pope because the Pope reminds them, as is his job, that we are to love God and love each other.
It's that simple.
And, so, just how do you propose to keep this from continuing?? The POTUS is elected in this country by the minority who choose to actually VOTE.
I would REALLY worry if the media started LIKING the Pope, just as I would REALLY worry if Hollyweird started liking the Pope.
Besides, I DON'T understand why ANY non-Catholic CARES about the Pope, what he does or what he says. He's not germane in non-Catholic lives at all.
WHY DO non-Catholics give a rat's patootie about ANY pope?
Why fret about someone who has NOTHING to do with your own faith?
