Kelly Prayer Update
Kelly had a good night. Her oxygen intake has gotten a lot better and the ICU physician is going to try to wean her off the ventilator. She is scheduled for a gastrointestinal procedure today and if all goes well they will try to wean her off sedatives and the ventilator starting today.
Her kidney functions have improved and her liver functions continue to improve.
Just a week ago the doctors seemed really grim about her prospects but now they seem optimistic.
But she is not digesting any food right now so I would ask for prayers that they figure out what is wrong with her digestive tract and fix it.
If she is taken off the sedatives, she will likely go into severe anxiety since they have a pipe in her throat and they can’t remove it until she is awake and they are convinced she can breathe on her own. Hopefully we can talk her through it. I know that if I went to sleep and then woke up with a pipe in my throat I would not be very calm about it.
Once again we sincerely thank all of you for your continued prayers and support. The response has been overwhelming.

So happy to hear that Kelly is doing better. It is actually very common for a person who hasn’t digested food in a while for their stomach to no longer function properly. Same thing happened to my grandmother after she had her bypass operation, sometimes it takes a while for the stomach to return to normal they have to do tests on the stomach to see the cause but for the most part the cause is not using it(The saying goes, if you dont use it you lose it) so its a common thing, hopefully in time her stomach will heal and she won’t need the feeding tube anymore. Continued prayers for a speedy recovery it will be a long road but she is strong. God Bless
