It's very simple. If a man has no moral center, if he has ambition but no faith, if he does not demonstrate humility or integrity, I will never vote for him for president. I don't care who he is, what he's done, what he says, or what positions he holds. None of that will matter when we are living under his tyranny, and tyranny is sure to follow when you give unspeakable power to a man who believes he is God.
I'll put this another way: if you vote for a man who worships himself over God, you deserve the tyranny that happens next.
You deserve it because you chose it, just as the souls in Hell deserve Hell because they chose it. If you go to the ballot box and say, "I am going to do my part to put this self-absorbed pagan in charge of my nation" you are directly consenting to the inevitable result. You are embracing it. You are literally asking for it.

You dont need to be a Christian to be a conservative. End of discussion. If that is the type of crap you want to push, then you lose lots of people with similar goals for no other reason than to be a self-righteous gate-keeper.
Irony, thy name is "Roman_War_Criminal." Where on earth are you getting all that (above)?
I wrote to say that we need to hold to the objective truth of God, whereas you apparently take exception to that idea. Perhaps you might look up the definition of "moral relativism", and get back to me?
Tell me why “god” would oppose one fool for another as the leader of a pagan nation?
Right... but all the good things about conservatism are good because they align with the Law of God. Period.
If that is the type of crap you want to push,
You, and many others, seem to be reading that idea into my post, and into the original article. I don't see why. I'm arguing for the EXISTENCE of an absolute truth, and that God is the One Who has it, and that He has revealed it to us through His Son, Jesus Christ. That's not fluff, or fairy tale, or dreamland; that's as much of a cold, hard fact as is the multiplication table. Atheists who "inherit" true beliefs do so by virtue of the fact that God gave it to them (either directly, through inspiration/guidance, or indirectly, through ancestors and/or remnants in the culture, and through logic/sane reason). One doesn't have to be a believer in order to hold true beliefs; one merely needs God (and, by extension, Christianity) in order for those true things to exist in the first place. then you lose lots of people with similar goals for no other reason than to be a self-righteous gate-keeper.
I am coming to believe that Pragmatism is seen some sort of enhancement that one can simply add to Conservatism; that it adds a necessary power that is lacking.
Pragmatism works without the need for moral absolutes. They are irrelevant.
It is a good reminder to check to see if we are still anchored to our principles.
I take it you don't believe in Him. All right.
NOWHERE did I say that God "endorses" (so to speak) any given candidate. Christianity teaches PRINCIPLES, not CANDIDATES. Christianity teaches, for example, that so-called "gay marriage" is wrong, and that abortion is a particularly callous and evil sort of murder. It also says that we can never will any evil, even if some good would allegedly result. (Look up the "principle of double-effect" for details about how to parse that out in situations where some evil effects are unavoidable.) It also says that fighting such objective moral evils takes precedence over ANY worldly concerns. No one is morally justified in supporting (or even dismissing as an issue) abortion, even if the cost is the complete destruction of the United States.
Does that sound extreme? God was here long before the USA existed; He's be here long after the USA is gone. Our Founding Fathers would never have supported "USA, right or wrong---USA, at any cost!"; they knew that the USA was supposed to be "one nation, under God"... not "one God, under the USA". The second is idolatry, plain and simple.
Vote Trump.
This is an election for a President, NOT a priest or minister.
Amen and second it.
So... only priests and ministers need to be moral human beings? They're the only people on whose virtue we should insist?
Given that priests and ministers are largely helpless to enact changes in the civic/political sphere, that means you seem to be indifferent to whether the country supports good or evil, politically!
What's your alternative, exactly?
Only God reads hearts.
The questions being raised go way deeper than that simplicity. What restraints does a man place upon himself? Why?
That's a world-class bit of hypocrisy right there.
Pray for the CONVERSION of all to Christ!
What it means is that no one is perfect.
At least Trump doesn’t think that he’s running for Supreme Being.
Amen to that.
Gods grace is sufficient in Jesus Christ alone.
See tag line.
I will vote for Cruz but, this is a very poor tactic on the Cruz campaigns part.
All it does is raise the hackles of pigs.
God uses all types of ‘rulers’ to bring his ends.
Another, âI will only vote for Jesus himselfâ voter?
