For many American Christians, the Paris attacks have revealed a conflict between two priorities: The cause of persecuted Middle Eastern Christians and a hard line on security.
Following reports that one of the Paris attackers had a Syrian passport and had allegedly registered as a refugee, multiple GOP presidential candidates called for bans on Syrian refugees. On Monday, multiple GOP governors joined in. Considering the United States has absorbed fewer than 2,000 Syrians, this may seem like political posturing, but Congress is set later this year to debate funding for another 10,000 who President Obama has said he wants to admit.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.) said Sunday that Christians only, not Muslims, should be allowed in. Ben Carson said accepting any Syrian refugees requires a âsuspension of intellect.â Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), Donald Trump and Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal also said the country shouldn't take any more Syrian refugees.
Over the weekend, prominent evangelist Franklin Graham repeated calls he's made before to scrutinize Muslim refugees.
"I've said this before, and many people criticized me for saying it. We must reform our immigration policies in the United States. We cannot allow Muslim immigrants to come across our borders unchecked while we are fighting this war on terror. If we continue to allow Muslim immigration, we'll see much more of what happened in Paris -- it's on our doorstep," he posted on his Facebook page.
The question is particularly complicated for conservative Christians, who have become increasingly concerned in the last few years about the plight of Christians in the Middle East and simultaneously are often the most guarded about border security and increased immigration.

Unless they come to faith in HIM.
Which means NO.
He would 1st ask if they will “put up their sword”....he would be able to tell if they are lying...and only let in those telling the truth. The liars he would tell them, “for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”
He would then text the Washington Post management to come and pick up the sword loving refugees.
This is a false choice. There is a third, more reasonable option. Set up refugee camps in safe zones that we enforce while dealing with the monsters that caused this problem. Then the Syrians and other displaced people can go to their true homes.
I think the Mohammed taking in Christians should be the theme for the next few days. This really puts everything in perspective and it will force Obama to say something, which is what we want.
Homeland Security doesn't know. Hell, they can't even trust their own data bases any more.
...And would have the power to deal with them immediately.
Only the ones not trying to kill him.
But the point is that he DID CHOSE his twelve disciples, they did not show up on their own.
So choosing is important and we get to choose in this situation.
Would he let moneychangers into the Temple?
That said. God also gives us Governments - and abhors anarchy. Romans 13 (from the written Word of God) outlines the responsibilities of our Government leaders. They are to be a 'terror to those that would do evil'. A minimum level of 'being a terror' would be to exclude the invitation of rabid wolves into your Nation.
So the invitation is open to all for Salvation - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. But our leaders also have a God given responsibility to protect the Nation. Thus, no - regarding immigration (which is not Salvation) don't invite a culture to enter your country that seeks to destroy your Nation and culture.
“The cause of persecuted Middle Eastern Christians”
What the heck? Only a small fraction of these ‘refugees’ are Christian...which in itself is odd.
If Mohammad is an Apostate, I’m not sure Jesus would welcome a follower of that Apostate with open arms.
Jesus knew he would be betrayed by one but it was already predetermined that Jesus would die on the cross.
RE: Muslims reject Him period....
Actually Muslims DO NOT BELIEVE that He is the Son of God or that He died on the cross.
Other than that, they still respect Him as a Miracle Worker and a Prophet ( lesser than Muhammad though ).
This is a question that applies to everyone since everyone will one day stand before Christ. Those who have accepted Him as Lord & Savior, He will accept into His kingdom and those who have not will not enter into His kingdom.
He would send missionaries.
That was my point. They reject Him as the Son of God, which in turn, results in the 2nd death.
Several years ago I had a discussion with the office liberal. He was rambling about how Israel treats arabs. I pointed out that a large percentage of Israel is arab (around 20%)...and that the reverse certainly wasn’t the case in arab nations.
He of course didn’t believe me...so we looked it up. What do you know, there really aren’t a lot of Jews in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, etc. There used to be...but almost none now.
He couldn’t process it...and certainly couldn’t believe it. It was true, and he knew it to be true, but he just couldn’t wrap his brain around it.
> How about would Mohammed take the refugees if they were Christians?
He would do so gladly; as slaves and concubines. The rest, he would put to the sword. Problem solved.
“Would Jesus take in Syrian refugees?”
Jesus would probably do a lot of things that the United States of America shouldn’t do and that’s just the way it is.
Would you care if they moved next door to you?
