About Catholic Classics Unlimited and Myself
CATHOLIC CLASSICS UNLIMITED ^

Posted on 10/30/2015 11:07:59 PM PDT by OrthodoxIndianCatholic

Dear Friends in Jesus and Mary,

Greetings from Mumbai, India.

I have taken an important decision. I will not be posting threads on the "Religion" Section of the Forum any more.

That is only because of 2 things that have happened recently.

1)My PC just a few days back broke down suddenly and it took the life out of me to get it working again.

2)On the last thread, I posted @ FR, there were numerous negative comments against the Blessed Mother which really incensed me and riled me.

One was that Our Lady was a "Frigid Housewife". This is really mean and unbecoming and an unchristian comment. On that count alone, I will not post @ FR anymore.

My Catholic Blog -- Catholic Classics Unlimited will be 2 years old on the 5th of November 2015. It was started on Nov 5, 2013.

My suggestion to everyone since I won't be posting anymore @ FR is to bookmark my Blog or visit it 2-3 times a month to read the articles I have posted.

Important :

Following will be the articles, I will be posting @ my blog in the near future. Read them whenever you can.

1) Dec 12, 2015 -- Our Lady of Guadalupe -- Patroness of the Americas.

2) Dec 25, 2015 -- A Reflection for Christmas Day 2015.

3) Ash Wednesday 2016 -- Lent 2016 -- Lenten Spirituality.

4) A Unique Perspective on the Blessed Mother during Lent.

5) Easter Sunday 2016 -- Resurrection Joy.

6) Divine Mercy Sunday 2016 -- A Perspective on the Blessed Sacrament.

Please remember that Article Number 6 will be the last article to be posted on my Blog.

Please remember to bookmark this thread and also to bookmark my blog.

I am posting this thread @ a cybercafe in Mumbai.

Goodbye.

Note : The latest article to be posted @ my blog is a short and sweet article for the Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus -- Patron of Desperate Cases 28th October 2015.

Oh, go get a cold towel and slap it against your forehead and lie down in a dark room. Open season, indeed!

Take your own advice. Or possibly, just shut up? Effectively, isn't that what you just said to me?

If all you can do is ridicule and insult --- that means there is nothing left to say -- which means I was right, and you provided acknowledgement of that, and indication to myself that you knew it, too.

Go lay down in a dark room, you tell me?

Who are you to make personal comments, providing 'instruction' to myself such as that?

Whichever rules there are, immediately become inequitable whenever those are applied to only one side of a dispute.

Yet it was not forum rules alone which I made complaint to you about, but instead also the complaint was in regards unequal applications of logic. Whatever is used on one side of an equation, must apply to the other.

One of your 'open season' comments was deleted (one about someone 'coming out of their crypt'), but only after I hit the abuse button, which I did after seening a series of Elsie's comments be deleted --- as far as I can tell, deleted for reason somebody WHINED, instead of those comments being actually against the rules.

Many other comments disappeared too.

Would you like to see how many MORE of those were yours, but which I did not directly point out to a moderator were breach of religion forum rules? I have a way of finding out...and it's easy. Although the method does not show the words of a deleted comment, it does reveal who made the comment.

Then, after possibly realizing that on the religion forum (check the forum moderator's homepage) one should speak of whatever issues are under discussion, rather than comments be mainly about people here, then just maybe there could be some actual discussion, yet in whatever there is of that, do not expect myself to accept your own opinions are much of anything beyond being merely opinion, rather than fact.

Meanwhile, you are free to address whichever points I may raise on whatever issues come along, rather than simply denying whatever is said through use of ridicule combined with yet more insult, tossing those off one after the other.

Nobody wants to, or needs to have their own alleged motives become the topic of conversation, for doing precludes possibility of rational discussion of whatever else is at hand. That type of reply is just one of among a repertoire baiting troll tactic, derailing threads while distracting from whatever else was said that can scarcely be denied has truth to it.

I've watched it all for years now...

The names change, but the trash-talk techniques stay the same.

Even Luther, Calvin and Zwingli knew that Mary was a perpetual virgin. Some people obviously need to educate themselves.
