Dear Friends in Jesus and Mary,
Greetings from Mumbai, India.
I have taken an important decision. I will not be posting threads on the "Religion" Section of the Forum any more.
That is only because of 2 things that have happened recently.
1)My PC just a few days back broke down suddenly and it took the life out of me to get it working again.
2)On the last thread, I posted @ FR, there were numerous negative comments against the Blessed Mother which really incensed me and riled me.
One was that Our Lady was a "Frigid Housewife". This is really mean and unbecoming and an unchristian comment. On that count alone, I will not post @ FR anymore.
My Catholic Blog -- Catholic Classics Unlimited will be 2 years old on the 5th of November 2015. It was started on Nov 5, 2013.
My suggestion to everyone since I won't be posting anymore @ FR is to bookmark my Blog or visit it 2-3 times a month to read the articles I have posted.
Important :
Following will be the articles, I will be posting @ my blog in the near future. Read them whenever you can.
1) Dec 12, 2015 -- Our Lady of Guadalupe -- Patroness of the Americas.
2) Dec 25, 2015 -- A Reflection for Christmas Day 2015.
3) Ash Wednesday 2016 -- Lent 2016 -- Lenten Spirituality.
4) A Unique Perspective on the Blessed Mother during Lent.
5) Easter Sunday 2016 -- Resurrection Joy.
6) Divine Mercy Sunday 2016 -- A Perspective on the Blessed Sacrament.
Please remember that Article Number 6 will be the last article to be posted on my Blog.
Please remember to bookmark this thread and also to bookmark my blog.
I am posting this thread @ a cybercafe in Mumbai.
Goodbye.
Note : The latest article to be posted @ my blog is a short and sweet article for the Feast of Saint Jude Thaddeus -- Patron of Desperate Cases 28th October 2015.
you might want to check with the Catholic caucus and post under that group.. anyone can read the posts but trolls are banned.
I understand how you feel. I read some of the articles about Catholicism and Catholic news on FR, but try to avoid the comments be!ow. Vile is probably the word I would use to describe some of the comments by certain FReepers whose purpose seems the denigration of all things Catholic.
“Frigid housewife”?
Wow.
There are some vicious anti-Catholics on FR. I wonder how anyone who claims to be a Christian—no matter how vehemently he rejects Catholic beliefs about Mary—could think Jesus could take kindly to anyone’s insulting his mother, as the anti-Catholics do constantly.
I know how you feel. I’ve gotten to the point where I won’t read anything by those kinds of posters anymore. I don’t know what they hope to accomplish, but whatever it is, the sarcasm, ridicule, and snide remarks aren’t convincing to anyone.
That being said, please don’t go. You’re a valuable member of the Religion forum. I continue to pray for your vocation.
That’s funny because a search of “frigid housewife” and “freerepublic” on Google only brings up this thread.
A search of “frigid wife” brings up a 2003 thread on a man who put his wife in a freezer hoping to revive her one day.
So, proof, blogger?
You may want to get a new Dell Latitude Series E laptop, and take it to a recently opened Kosher restaurant in the capital.
That way, you can blog from your new Dell E in the new deli in New Delhi.
Okay, that's it for me. You've been a great audience!

Looks like a standard line from that particular poster as the phrase returns multiple results from other threads. Must have been a bit of culture shock to be immediately exposed to America’s complete denigration and devaluation of virginity on his first post.
Got to work on your Google-fu, there, I think....
It was #174 on the thread BRINGING EX-CATHOLICS BACK TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH A PERSONAL STORY and was removed by the moderator. I've freepmailed it to you. I don't want to repost the comment because it was removed.
Something to think about.................
Charity Hospital run by the Sisters of Charity in New Orleans , along with the Upjohn company developed the plasma system in the 1930’s that saved so many lives in WW-II , Korea , and Vietnam and in the Middle East now.
During the Civil War most of the nurses were nuns.
Don’t give up. I am not a Catholic, but a dear friend sent me this.
EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT CATHOLIC, THIS IS EYE OPENING . . .
When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no Hospitals. Today, one out of five people in this Country, receive their Medical care at a Catholic hospital.
When the Catholic Church was founded, there were no schools. Today, the Catholic Church teaches 3 million students a day, in its more than 250 Catholic Colleges and Universities, in its more than 1200 Catholic High Schools and its more than 5000 Catholic grade schools.
Every day, the Catholic Church feeds, clothes, shelters and educates more people than any other organization in the World.
The new Obama Health Mandate could end all this and the tax payers would have to make up the loss.
Also, all Catholic adoption services will come to an end; a human disaster.
There are more than 77 million Catholics in this Country. It takes an estimated 50 million Catholic votes to elect a President.
I am Asking all of you to go to the polls in 2016 and be united in replacing all Senators and Reps with someone who will respect the Catholic Church, all Christians, and all Religions (with perhaps the exception of Islam).
Mr. President, you said, “The USA is not a Christian Nation”. You are wrong - We are a Christian Nation founded on Judeo-Christian values allowing all religions in America to Worship & Practice Freely. Something Islam will never do.
Oh, by the way, on “MUSLIM HERITAGE IN America” ....
Have you ever been to a Muslim hospital, heard a Muslim orchestra, seen a Muslim band march in a parade, know of a Muslim charity, ever seen Muslims shaking hands with a Muslim Girl Scout, or ever seen a Muslim Candy Striper volunteering in a hospital ?
Have you ever seen a Muslim do much of anything that ‘contributes’ positively to the “American way of Life” ?
Sounds like you should swim in the placid Caucus Thread waters, where your assertions will be well received by others with identical beliefs.
Until then, you are pimping your blog...
Paging Humblegunner! Cleanup in aisle 10!
You have to post your stuff under Catholic Caucus. I don’t understand for the life of me why Catholic freepers continue to post these in the religious forum and are shocked when bigots show up. There are several hard-core bigots on FR (two of which were happily canned) but still some remain. It’s the very definition of insanity to go on posting in an open forum. Most Protestant threads are now Protestant-caucus.
Whoever wrote that (and I can guess!) should be ashamed of himself.
Alex Murphy, Psycho-Extraordinaire, was axed several months ago. The other one should have been axed at the same time. How anyone who calls himself a Christian can write such stuff about the Mother of Christ is beyond me.
It was either removed and repeated on another thread because it’s there in black and white. No surprise, btw.
