“Jesus didn’t belong to Mary in the first place that He was hers to give to God.”
Just like your kids don’t belong to you.
“That is enough nonsense that convinces me I don’t need to or WANT to read any of that claptrap about Mary.”
That’s how many of us feel about your posts. Out of charity we still read many of them.
“Scripture tells us all we need to know about Jesus for our salvation, to make us wise unto salvation, complete, mature, and thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
But it doesn’t provide you with an inspired table of contents. When Jesus commissioned the Apostles to go to the ends of the earth, none of them had a New Testament. Men were saved anyway.
No, my kids don’t belong to me. They belong to God who gave them to me. I was given the privilege of being entrusted to be their mother and raise them.
Mary did not produce Jesus of her own accord or decision. He came to earth of His own decision and of his own accord. Nobody has control over Jesus.
Virtually all of Rome’s teachings about Mary have ZERO Scriptural substantiation. They are the vain imaginings of men.
Scripture was recognized as such long before the RCC came along and gave its stamp of approval to it, as if the Word of God needed the validation of men. It’s the height of arrogance for the Catholic church to take credit for the work of God. God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble.
Taking credit and glory due to God alone isn’t going to end any better for Catholics than it did for Herod in Acts 12.
Rome put it together: blame HER for the lack.
