They are informative and you use Scripture as the bedrock of your assertions. Anything else is sand.
I find it strange that Rome; that assembled the Book for us; feels it has to ADD stuff to it.
Not virtually; of course; but by it's practices.

Why did he let the Roman soldier nail him on that cross ?The REAL question is...
...why did Mary???

I read the Fulton Sheen book ...More, good FJS stuff:
"A Plea For Intolerance" (1931)
Tolerance is an attitude of reasoned patience toward evil ... a forbearance that restrains us from showing anger or inflicting punishment.
Tolerance applies only to persons ... never to truth.
America, it is said, is suffering from intolerance it is not.
It is suffering from tolerance.
Tolerance of right and wrong, truth and error, virtue and evil, Christ and chaos.
Our country is not nearly so overrun with the bigoted as it is overrun with the broadminded.
Too many people get credit for being good, when they are only being passive.
They are too often praised for being broadminded when they are so broadminded they can never make up their minds about anything.
As quoted in Seven Words to the Cross (1979) by Ellsworth Kalas, page 93.

I would think that the Bible would be one of a couple of starting points for someone learning about Jesus for the first time

But it should be added that i think for the most part Mariolatry is done in ignorance and with sincere motive.
I agree!
It points out that most Catholics are NOT of the Berean frame of mind.

But it doesnt provide you with an inspired table of contents. Rome put it together: blame HER for the lack.

Note : Isnt it sad that some of my posts on Catholicism on FR end up in a slug fest or a war between Catholics and Protestants.I feel your sadness.
It rings of sincerity.

I read at three of the four - including the one you mentioned in 1995....In other words, as usual, you were wrong. I stated that:
You apparently did not read the books listed in the article. Otherwise if you would have taken the time to read, "True Devotion to Mary" you would find that these "Catholic Classics" promote Mary.
You may have read them but based on your comments you certainly didn't comprehend them.

Exactly, but if you’re a good mother you offer them up to the Lord for His purposes and His will. Mary did.

I read them and do comprehend them And, again, you’re read how many of them as of now? But you’ll attack them anyway and even go so far as to claims someone who HAS read them doesn’t comprehend them. Go ahead. Tell me how many of these books you’ve read and when did you read them?

Now they claim they gave everyone an “inspired table of contents”? Since when is a list of the books that Almighty God gave to humanity also considered as inspired as the writings themselves??? Yet...with their inclusion of UNINSPIRED books NO ONE saw as from the Holy Spirit, into the canon of the Old Testament, Roman Catholicism proved conclusively that they are NOT led by the Holy Spirit.
God’s word contains the whole truth of the Christian faith and anyone who claims they are above it or in charge of it or the author of it brings condemnation onto their heads and judgment from the TRUE author and finisher of our faith.

Well, as the only wholly God-inspired tangible body of express revelation then it is certainly fitting.Amen Brother!
As you know, a lot of people were killed for believing that very thing.
