I knew he was sick and getting worse. My dad is the type that do not go to doctors ever. But now he wanted to go.I went with him to a lung doctor the other day that gave him the bad news. He is so strong and relaxed about it though. He has stopped smoking this summer which is extremely good. But still he is stage 3 -borderline to 4.
Maybe I ask for prayers do deal with my dad being sick. I tend to worry and fuss a bit and become very protective. My dad seems to cope very good. It is just me that is extremely worried.
Prayers are with you for dad’s satisfactory
recovery.
God Bless
I have Stage 4. I have found that giving up ALL white flour and dairy products makes a noticeable difference.
God Bless and ease his breathing.
Prayers for Your Dad, You and Yours.
Find your dad a good pulmonologist.
COPD patients have lots more options these days than in the past and people can live with this condition for years.
And if you ever smoked, get yourself checked out sooner better than later.
Prayers up...
Marthemaria, may God bless you and your father.
Prayers up!
Prayers up for your Dad and his loved ones.
Prayers up.
What a sweet daughter you are. I will pray for your dad.
Nothing is beyond the reach of God. Put your worry and fretting into prayer and trust that your dad is in the hands of our Lord no matter what. Let your faith grow to replace worry and fretting through this situation with your dad. He will guide you as you serve your dad.
Glad he went to the doctor. I volunteered for an elderly man who had COPD and treatment helped a lot. I used to take him to the doctor and grocery shopping.
This probably won’t happen but make sure that docs are not anti-smoker nuts and harass him for “making himself sick.” I met a dentist one time who was harassing another elderly man who I volunteered for because he had dental problems. The old guy used to smoke. That judgemental doctor made my friend feel so self hating and hopeless. I ended up going to the dentist with him and into the room while he was being treated. When the dentist started in on his anti-smoker rant, I told him to shut up - he’s acting like a nasty nag. That was one shocked dentist! But he shut up.
Most medical professionals act with mercy and caring but some are not of our culture. They have no clue that Christ forgives and often releases us from consequences and suffering. I’ve seen it happen.
I understand they have a new vaccine for pneumonia now. They offered it to my husband when he had surgery.
I will pray for your husband and you.
Thank you so much. Yes, I believe he has had or will get the new vaccine.
Prayers.
Prayers for F, that he may get the medical treatment he needs. Prayers for the family, too. This is always hard.
We will be praying Marthemaria.((((Hugs))))
Praying for you and your dad.
Will keep you in my prayers marthemaria. My Mom suffered from COPD. I buried her yesterday.
Praying for you and your husband also.
