When you go through the pope's public statements during this visit to the U.S. and understand them in context with each other, you end up with a worldview that seems to be completely incoherent. On the one hand he has publicly criticized the developed nations of the world (primarily the U.S.) for any number of things, including our role in climate change, our secularism, our fixation of money and material things, our wanton disregard for the value of human life, etc.

Then he insists that we should be open to a massive flood of new immigrants. Why would he ever encourage people to migrate to a place like this?

More importantly ... Isn't there something wrong with a Catholic leader from a Latin American country encouraging people from historically Catholic countries in Latin America to migrate to a radically secular nation like ours?

Why do people who actually read the bible stay in this pagan church? Just brought up that way? Brainwashed?

When we got married we first had the Civil ceremony. Later we had the Church Wedding, whose date we celebrate as our anniversary.

You know... for a guy who is suppose to be holding the “office” that Peter once held, he is nothing like Peter. Read Peter’s sermon in Acts and then read what this Pope says. This guy is to afraid of offending people to even hold a candle to Peter.

Regarding the Pope’s comment about marriage in the USA, even in his time Thomas Jefferson had basically indicated that foreigners didn’t understand the federal government’s constitutionally limited powers.

“With respect to our State and federal governments, I do not think their relations correctly understood by foreigners. They generally suppose the former subordinate to the latter. But this is not the case.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Cartwright, 1824.

The Pope probably thinks that Congress and Obama are just doing what they have to do.

“It is vitally important for the Church today to go forth and preach the Gospel to all: to all places, on all occasions, without hesitation, reluctance or fear. The joy of the Gospel is for all people: no one can be excluded,” he said.

Pray tell Dear Pope Francis, why did you not include this statement in ANY of your speeches except this one to your Bishops??? How do we emulate your request when you are so reluctant to Preach the Gospel to your largest audiences her in the United States?
