Annulment is church sanctioned divorce. The RCC can call it anything they want, but they are still breaking the marriages vows and approving of it.m
You make these statements of "fact" which are WRONG....the tribunal finds, after thorough investigation, that there is reason that a valid marriage did not exist...sheesh.

My pleasure. Had it on my desk and thought to move the conversation along.

My 4-year old asked my mom Why is Jesus still on the cross in your house, Gramma? Oops. You coulda heard a wafer drop. Junior, it is to remind us of the pain and sorrow that Jesus went through for our sake.....remember not to sin in the future because sin is what caused Jesus to suffer this terrible, painful, fate.
The empty cross allows us to forget the physical trauma of crucifixion.

No it did not move the conversation along, it put it in reverse. Yes Eagle I did look at your link and you are still misunderstanding what I and the Bible are saying. I have tried 5 different ways to explain it and I have run out of options. I wish both of you the best.

I’m none too sharp, Verga. Could you rephrase your point or question, please? I thought I understood it, but apparently not.
To: SouthernClaire
I am sorry, no I can’t. I tried to explain it 5 different ways up thread. Please look at those. I am not trying to be mean or nasty, I am tired and need to get up in about 5 hours to go to work. I explained it every way that I could think to do so.

You have this life alone to make a choice that brings real hope. I tell you: Satan is at work in the "Holy Roman Catholic Church!!" It is apparent that you have no conception of Catholicism at all...
At my mothers funeral, years ago, The grandkids all gave a little eulogy...Grandma, tube socks every year for Christmas, grandma, always took care of neighborhood kitties....etc, etc...when we went behind the church to the cemetery, they released helium baloons to represent her soul going to heaaven....very upbeat ceremony.

“Why does it rain, mommy?”
“It rains when Jesus is crying, honey.”
“Why is Jesus crying, mommy?”
“It’s probably something you did.”

Could you provide an order of books of the Hebrew canon from your resources?
Honestly, every listing I find online and in my resources at home gives the same list as SouthernClaire provided.
That might help.

How about this? 2 Chronicles 24:21 reads,
“And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the Lord.”
KJV
From Abel to Zecheriah.

still it shows that YOU think you know a BETTER way of doing things. Absolutely not, different maybe, better maybe, but my opinion is equal to every other opinion offered.

Then why are you PROUD to be an American? Did you become naturalized or were you born here? Of course I was, but if I decide not to be an American, I can become, and be proud of, any nationality in the world....I was born American and CHOOSE to remain so, therefore I can be proud of it.

A listing of the books in their order would help...but if you don’t want to I’m off to see the Perseids.
To: ealgeone
Have a good time, as I said I am done.

All religion is empty. Religion gets us nowhere with God. If anyone is following a religion, they are chasing after the wind. If anyone is following Christ, they are saved. An empty cross is an indicator of the victory over death that Jesus made. It's too bad the Catholic church leaves Him there in perpetuity. All it says is that the church doesn't think Jesus finished what He said he did. My Jesus is the resurrected, conquering King, not the conquered victim forever bound to that cross, impotent on it. Wow, is this your interpretation of what religion is???
I realize that protestants get to make up their own rules as they go along, but this seems a little over the hill.

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, Did God really say, You must not eat from any tree in the garden? 2 The woman said to the serpent, We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3 but God did say, You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die. Who was there to transcribe that conversaton??

he dead are beyond our help. That's just filthy PROT teaching! Come to the Eternal city! Embrace the Light of Rome!! Only SHE can help the dead in their travails!!! You seem to be catching on real well!!!Contact your local parish and set up a schedule to take adult courses for your reintroduction to true Christianity...
