Black Preacher in West Virginia if I have this right. Surprising.

In this day and age, you don’t know if it could be a publicity stunt but doing such has seen some Churches lose their membership in droves.

It may go over some people’s heads, but there are questionable symbols on his website.

Homosexuality is a sin. If a “sinner” goes to church he is taught he must confess his sins. That doesn’t mean he’s supposed to kiss his “husband” in church and yell “I’m a sinner.”

T.D. Jakes says that homosexuals should attend congregations that affirm their lifestyle and that politics do not need to reflect biblical ethics, adding that his position on homosexuality is both “evolved and evolving.”

...Away from The Bible.

This isn’t a surprise. Jakes preaches a number of false doctrines. For instance, it has long been known that he’s a modalist. He has also shown support for Joel Osteen’s sham ministry.

Well Mr. Jakes, where did this “that democracy - that a republic actually,” get its rights exactly? According to the Declaration of Independence, we got them from God. By celebrating gay behavior, we turn away from, thumb our noses at, and shake our fists at the One who gave us the gift of this nation, and we have no right to expect any better than Sodom and Gomorrah received. When you throw in what we are paying Planned Parenthood to do, it’s hard to imagine how anyone in this country is still walking around alive. It is attitudes like yours, TD Jakes, that dooms this country. Going secular is not working God’s will.

"Every church has a different opinion on the issue..."

Funny. God's Word only seems to have ONE opinion on the issue if you bother to actually read it.

What does the bible say about this? Here we have a man making a decision not biblically based. No scripture is quoted.

The word of God is the same yesterday today & forever.
Bye jakes, you are pandering to heathens.

Affirming sinful and destructive lifestyles is not Godly, Mr. Jakes.

Megachurch leader and author T.D. Jakes says that homosexuals should attend congregations that affirm their lifestyle and that politics do not need to reflect biblical ethics, adding that his position on homosexuality is both “evolved and evolving.”

That is exactly backwards. If I'm a cafeteria Christian and only comply with God's word when it matches what I would do anyway, I am no Christian at all. The whole point of Christianity is to give God sovereignty over our lives. When God's will, as revealed in scripture, and our wants, as determined by current whim, collide, we are better off deferring to God.

“We need a neutralized government that protects our right to disagree with one another and agree with one another.”

He pretends that culture doesn't influence government when the very thing he's saying is testimony that culture is influencing government. It all depends on the dominant culture.

When Christianity was the dominant American culture, it was the major influence on government.

"Should" culture influence government? An irrelevant question that is akin to asking should temperature influence cooking time.

Conclusion: We have lost the culture. The question is how to regain it. Two things: (1) Hedonists always get lost in their hedonism after a while, and (2) The building blocks of culture are primarily nurture, education, association, and meaning.
