This guy’s pretty “wordly”...
The kingdom of heaven does not reflect the material things we experience here.

LOL ... right. He goes from two sentences in an encyclical to binding dogma commanding Catholics to not eat meat. Amazing how Leftie nuts can find anything they want and declare it to be "binding".
What they'll never, ever do is read the clear dogmatic condemnation of contraception in Casti Connubii (Pope Pius XI) and declare that "binding".

I thought the Papal Encyclical was just opinion on church and spiritual matters - more or less. Acting as the Vicar of Christ, the statements would be made from St. Peter’s Throne and known as Ex Cathedra and, therefore, binding truth for all Catholics as doctrine.
Isn’t this so, Catholic brothers and sisters?

So cats, dogs and goats are created in God’s image . . . that is, created as spiritual beings? If this Pope would read his Bible he would have learned that God gave man dominion over the beasts of the field.
I sense pure evil in this clown of a Pope.

Cats?
In Heaven?
Has he ever owned a cat?
Cats are natural born blasphemers. They all think they are God.

The bible says a sparrow doesn't fall out of a tree without God knowing it. I believe this verse was God's way of drawing a line of how small an animal can be to still have the spiritual capacity to warrant love. A sparrow has always been the limit for me. I feel nothing in killing a spider or any bug, but I avoid killing unnecessarily anything the size of a sparrow or bigger.
We've all seen dogs and cats protect their human companions, not so with cockroaches.

Just as long as me and my wife’s cat don’t end up in the same place ... however that has to work out.
