After the Supreme Court issued its ruling on gay marriage Friday, President Obama gave a speech in which he said Americans need to change their religious views to be accepting of gay marriage, the Daily Caller reported. To that end, he encouraged gay marriage supporters to "help people overcome their deeply-held religious views.
I know that Americans of goodwill continue to hold a wide range of views on this issue, he said. Initially, he exhibited a bit of respect for those who oppose same-sex marriage.
"Opposition in some cases has been based on sincere and deeply held beliefs, he said. All of us who welcome todays news should be mindful of that fact. Recognize different viewpoints. Revere our deep commitment to religious freedom.
"But today should also give us hope that on the many issues with which we grapple often painfully real change is possible, he added. The implication was clear: Those who disagree with the idea of gay marriage based, for example, on their religious views, must change to be more like progressives who accept gay marriage.
Shifts in hearts and minds is possible, he added. And those who have come so far on their journey to equality have a responsibility to reach back and help others join them. Because for all our differences, we are one people stronger together than we could ever be alone.
"Thats always been our story," he continued. "We are big and vast, and diverse. A nation of people with different backgrounds and beliefs, with different experiences and stories, but bound by our shared ideal that no matter who you are, or what you look like, how you started off, or how and who you love Americas a place where you can write your own destiny.

Nah, I swiped it. :)
It alarms me that Americans haven't taken to the streets by now. They seem to think that voting and blogging will make it all better.
Interesting comment coming from a devout MUSLIM!
When the government believes it has the power to tell you what to think and to compel your participation in perversion, then yes, that requires an uprising.
America's abomination of desolation, or at minimum the breaching of the walls before the final destruction.
Friday, June 26, 2015:
Tammuz 9In 423 BCE, Nebuchadnezzar's troops breached the walls of old Jerusalem and entered the city. Four weeks later, the Holy Temple was destroyed, and the Jews were exiled to Babylon. Originally, a day of fasting and mourning was observed on the 9th of Tammuz. Seventy years later, however, when the Second Temple was built, the fast was abolished and the day was turned into a holiday. Some 500 years later when Jerusalem fell on the 17th of Tammuz -- prior to the destruction of the Second Temple -- the Sages decreed the 17th of Tammuz as a fast day to commemorate both tragedies.

Doesn't matter... John Roberts has ruled that just because it's spelled out in the law, or for that matter, as we'll be seeing shortly, in the Constitution of the United States, words no longer mean anything.
Words simply mean what our rulers want them to mean.
Chief Justice of the SCOTUS, Humpty Dumpty has ruled, "When I use a word, it means just what I choose it to mean neither more nor less."
The question is, said Alice, whether you can make words mean so many different things.
The question is, said Humpty Dumpty, which is to be master thats all.
Who knew that our SCOUTUS decisions would be written by Lewis Carroll?

Zero can go freep himself all the way to next year and back. Can’t stand the slimeball. Not now, not ever. Huge waste of gravity holding his skinny ass down.
Muslims first, then we’ll talk.
Don’t expect the same lecture to the homosexual killing terror-group ISIS, that Obama & Hillary created.
May his rectum develop grand fissures.
Eff you, Satan’s monster.
I don't think so. I don't think Satan punishes the AntiChrist.
It was weird but very telling that flies kept landing on Obama.
I’m sure they still do but the press won’t report it.
I know this may sound stupid, something I’m probably famous for around here, but I think there will be a Shot Heard Round the World and something that cannot be reversed will be set in motion.
I never thought we would come to the day in my Beloved Country that I would have even entertained such a thought.
I think the 2016 Presidential Election will show us, if the SCOTUS hasn’t already, if the Republic will truly survive.
Obama is ..... a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more:
it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
Hey gay-boy Hussein, I think we may still have FREEDOM OF RELIGION in this country. Even if that gets taken away, we will always have freedom of our own beliefs and feelings. To the best of my knowledge, I think all polls have indicated that the majority of people in this once-great country do not believe in gay marriage. But of course, those beliefs now have to be stomped into the dirt, to appease the minority who actually give a damn about it.
