All pardon for sins ultimately comes from Christs finished work on Calvary, but how is this pardon received by individuals? Did Christ leave us any means within the Church to take away sin? The Bible says he gave us two means.

If you can pay for the window and dont, you were never really sorry.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, many times in this crazy life we live we can never pay for the harm we do to each other so it is not just a matter of monetary damage.
So do you chose to ignore the words of Jesus?
I think you missed the original post this is regarding. This was an example and not about whether I would forgive or not.
Talking about mortal sin. Venial sins are lesser, yes we all commit sins daily.
The Word does not differentiate between mortal and venial sins. Sin is sin in God's perspective.
>>Are you saying there are some sins for which you are not truly sorry? If so, how are those viewed by God? Are you forgiven if you confess even if you're not truly sorry?
>> What if you're a good actor? Some of the most sinful people can play the part of a contrite person....understand I'm not saying you do.
I wouldn't bother to confess if I was not sorry. If I am not sorry, I am not forgiven.
In a prior post you indicated there were sins you did not seem to be sorry for. If these are "venial" sins you are referring to, my understanding of catholicism is that you can accumulate enough of these that they rise to the level of "mortal" sins.....but again, neither mortal or venial sins are supported by the Word. Sin is sin. While there is impact to our actions, the sin itself is enough to keep you out of Heaven without Christ. To use catholic terminology, if you committed just one venial sin your entire life, that would be enough to keep you out of Heaven without faith in Christ.
I go to a priest and confess my sin, if I am truly sorry.
So again....are there sins you've committed for which you're not truly sorry?? Do you think these will be dismissed even if, again, to use catholic terminology, they are venial sins??
Jesus opened the gate, it is up to me to enter through.
On this I agree....He is the way, the truth and the life.
We only enter the gate through faith.
Can you show where this is supported in the Word?

Happens to us all :)
Can you show in the Word where there are venial and mortal sins?
NO ONE besides a Levite could be a priest.Jesus was not a Levite yet he is a priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.
For sins committed after baptism, a different sacrament is needed. Confession. Since he would not always be with the Church visibly, Christ gave this power to other men so the Church, which is the continuation of his presence throughout time (Matt. 28:20), would be able to offer forgiveness to future generations. He gave his power to the apostles, and it was a power that could be passed on to their successors and agents, since the apostles wouldnt always be on earth either, but people would still be sinning.
Where is all of that taught in Scripture?
Or do you wait for the window to be replaced before you actually forgive???
Where is *baptism of desire* found in Scripture?
It’s very interesting the number of so-called Catholics who are so poorly catechized.
They don’t even know their own history or CCC.
That's not a good analogy at all because we CAN'T pay for our sins.
Additionally, there's a world of difference between offering to pay for the window, and it being demanded in order to attain forgiveness.
It is blindingly clear that Catholics have ZERO concept of what forgiveness is all about.
Forgiveness is not dependent on *feeling* sorry for my sin.
It's dependent on CONFESSING the sin.
So where’s the list of deadly sins found in Scripture?
Believe it or not it is your history too.
1 Cor 6:9-10 Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were.
Gal 5:19-21 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Eph 5:3-6 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for Gods holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No sexually immoral, impure or greedy personsuch a person is an idolaterhas any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things Gods wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them.
Rev. 22:12-16 Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star.
Matt 25:41-46 Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me. They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me. Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.
And finally just a general warning from the Lord:
John 5:28-29 Do not be amazed at this, for a time is coming when all who are in their graves will hear his voice and come outthose who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me.
