Two reasons — 1 from the NT where Christ repeated the act and commanded us to do this in memory of Him. Secondly, this is linked as spiritual manna — to feed our spirit.

Kudos, excellently and truly stated. Brevity is the evidence of wisdom.

The 'act' was a yearly meal.

And Jesus told us to repeat the breaking of break IN MEMORY of Him.

He didn’t tell us to be continually sacrificing Him over and over again.

And the blood from the Passover Lamb was NEVER eaten. The blood is for the atonement, never to be consumed.

This nonsense about Him being perpetually crucified in heaven is ridiculous. That puts Jesus in heaven forever being tortured and dying for our sins, and Scripture tells us clearly that He is there now seated at the right hand of the Father, interceding for the saints.

What an injustice that Jesus would be suffering torment forever in heaven. Not much of a heaven for Him, eh?
