Im a woman. So said Bruce Jenner, during his coming out appearance this past Friday on a special two-hour edition of the ABC News program 20/20.
And thats not the only shocking revelation Jenner confided to interviewer Diane Sawyer. She also claimed to be a Republican, a conservative and a Christian.
Well, its conceivable that Jenner is a Republican. After all, theres a LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) group that calls itself the Log Cabin Republicans.
Its also possible that Jenner is a conservative. Indeed, there have been any number of conservative lawmakers including former Idaho Senator Larry Craig, a homosexual, and former Florida congressman Mark Foley who were outed as homosexuals.
But theres no way that Jenner, who is transitioning from male to female, is a true Christ follower.
Indeed, in his letter to the Church at Corinth, the Apostle Paul advised: Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
Does that mean any and every one of us who has committed any of those aforementioned sins is unsaved; that we have condemned ourselves to the second death, as John of Patmos put it, when we appear before the judgment seat of Christ?
No.
Because, the Scripture assures us: If we confess our sins, He is just and faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
Conversely, If we say that we have no sin, as Jenner, the transgender in the making maintains, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
So it matters not if Jenner attends church every Sunday; if he tithes what earns for his upcoming reality show; if he reads his Bible every day; if he prays first thing each morning, and last thing every night.
If he unrepentantly undergoes a sex change, if he refuses to acknowledge that doing so is an abomination in the eyes of God, he will be in open rebellion against his Creator.
Thats why Christ warned us, everyone: If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.
What that says is that we are not to surrender ourselves to sin; to deceive ourselves that God will forgive us for our unconfessed, unrepented adultery or financial wrongdoing or substance abuse or acts of violence or twisted sexual orientation.
If Jenner truly was a Christian, he would not blithely embrace transgenderism. No, he would fall on his knees and ask the Lord to free him from Satans grip. For greater is He who is in Bruce Jenner who is in all of us struggling with sin than he who is in the world.
It is a terrible thing that anyone would choose to worship mystery Babylon the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth.
Biochemically still a man. Appeals to Jesus notwithstanding.
“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:4-5
As I believe you are Catholic, I have to wonder if that is the Catholic interpretation on this, that it’s just between Bruce Jenner and Jesus?
God is love, and is that view truly love? That would mean keeping quiet while someone openly sins and it is widely promoted to tens even hundreds of millions others as acceptable to God. Sin leads to separation from Him and harms others, ultimately leading to their separation from God, too. And there is no sin that’s “just between” a person and God. It all affects others, especially spiritually.
Modern technology has also indeed made us into a village of a sorts. The private affairs and business of ordinary people all over the world become our business on a daily basis. In the Bible, God is called Jehovah Nissi - The Lord is my banner. An army would follow behind a banner, what or whom they were fighting for. And there can be other banners, besides the Lord, or He can be held up falsely, supporting sin. It’s a very serious thing to hold up the name of the Lord falsely. It’s actually the literal meaning of the commandment not to take the Lord’s name in vain - not to “lift up” the Lord’s name in an unworthy manner.
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.” Ephesians 5:11
And in 1 Corinthians 5, Paul writes to the church in Corinth about a man in their assembly who had his father’s wife.
3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath so done this deed,
4 In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ,
5 To deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Radical individualism is a secular humanist/atheist idea that isn’t Christian at all. It’s political, and perhaps with the fallen world we have, the best that can be done politically, but it’s not God’s ultimate will for us. That is the Kingdom of God, which we should be readying ourselves to live in. There we know that we are not our own, but belong to God, and to each other.
Protecting individual rights here are about protecting us from other people forcing us to disobey God. In evangelical Christianity, sometimes the “vertical” and “horizontal” relationships are talked about - the vertical being with God, and the horizontal being with other people. Individual “human rights” are about our “rights” on the horizontal level - that other people shouldn’t force their religion on us, or take away our right to speak, or falsely imprison us. They shouldn’t do those things because they are just another fallible person or persons.
But we have no such rights with God, who is eternally above us, by every right of His. He can tell us what it is right to say or not say, and punish us for disobedience. Where other mere people have no right over us, to determine everything we do, say and believe, and wholly be our master, God, being God, does have that absolute right.
Jesus replied: ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
How could anyone not love this God, who did so much for us, with all their heart?
Amen.
He had to be mentally ill to get involved with the Kadashian (sp) family.
Trivia....Bruce Jenner graduated from Newtown (CT) HS in 1968. Surprised the family never exploited that for personal and financial gain.
God showed his Love for Homosexuals at Sodom and Gomorrah..since God don’t make mistakes, i’m sure he feels the same today as he did back then
Right. If Bruce Jenner has received Jesus Christ, he has eternal life which cannot be taken away from him because our salvation is NEVER about what we do but because of what HE DID. It is by grace not works. Heb 8:12,10:17.
If he is truly repentant Christ will not hold his mental illness against him. But better he should ask for healing than forgiveness.
That would explain what’s going on.
Our salvation is by grace.
And our supernaturally good works are by grace.
The gratuity of grace does not negate the necessity of good works for salvation (among other things that Scripture tells us are necessary for salvation).
James 2What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, Go in peace, be warmed and filled, without giving them the things needed for the body, what good[b] is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
18 But someone will say, You have faith and I have works. Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believeand shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; 23 and the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousnessand he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. 25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
"Listen to the church." --Jesus
OK. I won’t offer him the Eucharist. What else is productive or useful here?
Jenner has a mental disorder and needs to be under the care of professionals. No one needs to promote his sickness. God made man and woman. He does make mistakes..........especially after someone has fathered 6 children.
“but you have no way of knowing whether or not he actually was born as a man”.
He is the biological father of SIX children. Yes, Jenner was born a man and will die a man.
” If Bruce Jenner has received Jesus Christ, he has eternal life which cannot be taken away from him because our salvation is NEVER about what we do...”
If we do not repent, and if we rejoice in sin and promote it, we have no part of God’s salvation.
“Dont be under any illusion: you cannot make a fool of God! A mans harvest in life will depend entirely on what he sows. If he sows for his own lower nature his harvest will be the decay and death of his own nature. But if he sows for the Spirit he will reap the harvest of everlasting life by that Spirit. Let us not grow tired of doing good, for, unless we throw in our hand, the ultimate harvest is assured.” - Paul
“When you find men who have been enlightened, who have experienced salvation and received the Holy Spirit, who have known the wholesome nourishment of the Word of God and touched the spiritual resources of the eternal world and who then fall away, it proves impossible to make them repent as they did at first. For they are re-crucifying the Son of God in their own souls, and by their conduct exposing him to shame and contempt. Ground which absorbs the rain that is constantly falling upon it and produces plants which are useful to those who cultivate it, is ground which has the blessing of God. But ground which produces nothing but thorns and thistles is of no value and is bound sooner or later to be condemnedthe only thing to do is to burn it clean.” - Hebrews 6
“Biochemically still a man. Appeals to Jesus notwithstanding.”
You assume Bruce Jenner is “Biochemically still a man”, when in fact you have no way of knowing whether or not Bruce Jenner ever was what you are defining as being “Biochemically...a man.” So, why do you presume to judge a person without first knowing what you are judging to be true or untrue?

You’re using an awful lot of words to simply tell us you dig trannies.
