Lol, a typical Good Mom response!: Think of the kids first! Thank God you’re ok!
May He continue to bless and keep you!

I have never hurt so much in my life as I did after that operation. I think it was from moving all my insides around and mopping everything up. But, oh, what a stomach ache. All I did was walk the halls and then walk the halls again.

I would love to be able to sing. Just sing like an angel.

Ouch! Whenever soft tissue is involved, there's movement and longer healing time. I give you a lot of credit for doing the walking! Rough as it is, it prevents problems later on. You must be one tough lady! :)
My worst was a kidney stone that got stuck, and made everything back up. I looked like I was pregnant on one side! I told my Mom I didn't want her to complain about long labor any more: she came home from the hospital with a baby, me; I came home with a lousy little piece of gravel! Lol
Yup, lots of questions for God... 😀

Same here. Mother passed away 8 years ago 30 April — 6 weeks shy of her 95th birthday. My father left this earth very early, at the age of 62. I often picture them together in heaven smiling down at their huge family on joyful occasions. In these musings they are always healthy and middle-aged, as I remember them from my grade school years.

I’m not so sure about the old enough to know better, looking back from my vantage (or vintage) point today.

If many Catholics/Orthodox are to be believed, they will probably look like the chimps who were our “ancestors.”

No matter how old they are, there is never am easy time to lose a parent! I’m sorry for your loss, but grateful that you have hope. Seeing them again someday, well, we’re on the same page- like in their wedding pictures, when they had their hopes and dreams and a lifetime together to look forward to. So many of those dreams were crushed, and our lives together were difficult in the worldly sense. But, God willing, when I see them again, they will have an eternity- not just hopes and dreams, but true reality, and we can be with God and share it together! May that be true of all of us!
God bless you, and your family!
