The following is an edited transcript of the audio.
Are Christians under the 10 commandments?
No. The Bible says we're not under the law.
I love Romans 7:4-6. By way of analogy, it says that you are married to the law. And you better stay married because if you leave this husband and go marry another you are going to be called an adulterer. But if your husband dies, then you can go and remarry.
And then Paul draws the analogy outa little complex the way he does itsaying that you died to the law. You aren't married anymore, you can have another husband, namely Christ. He's raised from the dead.
So, our approach towards ethics is different. We don't ask the question, "Am I under the law?" We are under grace. The law is already fulfilled perfectly by Jesus. We are in Jesus and as far justification goes, God sees it as completed for you, one-hundred percent. He says, "You've trusted my Son. You've been grafted in him. You are in Christ Jesus and he fulfilled the law perfectly. He covered all your sins." God sees you in and through Christ, therefore, as far as final judgment goes God is 100% for you. That is settled and nothing is going to change it.
Now, shall we sin that grace may abound? Paul says, "Dead men don't sin." If you've died to sin, how can you still live in it? The new birth is the writing of the law on our heart so that we are not under it, it is under us. It is just coming out.
The way we strive towards being obedient, holy and loving people is not by getting up in the morning and pulling the list out of our pocket. No! We get on our knees and we open ourselves to the whole counsel of God in the Bible. We saturate and shape ourselves by everything he has done, he is doing and he will do. We stake our lives in the gospel and then instead of serving the law, we serve one another in love.
Love is the fruit of faith in Jesusfaith working through love. And if you ask, "What does love look like?" First John says, "It keeps the commandments." That brings us back to the question, which commandments? I would say, the ones that are loving.
Love God and do as you please is not bad advice, if you're bent on holiness. If you're bent on love the ten commandments are really important. You should hang them on your wall and you should measure your life by them, but in a very different way than when you were under them, because they have been kept for you.
You are now married to the risen Christ. You are not married to the law and the oldness of the letter, but to the newness of the Spirit. Our whole approach towards transformation, love and life is different than list keeping.
"Go and sin no more...

All dressed up for the wedding feast on the sea of glass mingled with fire!

Why do you always leave out the most important part of the entire chapter?
Do you not wish for them to go to their synagogue every Sabbath day to learn God’s way?
.
.
As everywhere else in the entire Bible, they are always speaking to Yehova’s elect; nobody else even matters.
Yehova’s elect, those he intends to save, are as he said, Israel and those that sojourn with her.
Yeshua said plainly in Matthew 15:24
But he answered and said, “I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
That is who he was sent to die for, not for those that have no use for him or what he says.
Why do you have so much trouble with that?
.
.
>> “Scripture is clear ..the SAVED are not under the Ten Commandments or the Noahide laws.” <<
.
Scripture is clear, nobody has been saved yet!
Those that endure to the end will be saved. All salvation will be at the Day of Trumpets.
>> “We stand in the completed work of Christ.” <<
.
But he made it clear that his work is not completed. Only the sinless sacrifice and the gift of the Holy Spirit are completed, the rest all remains to be done.
Yeshua’s sheep have to be brought to repentance and schooled in his way. Satan has to be cast to Earth to Tribulate the saints. The elect have to be raised at the end of the tribulation, and saved in their incorruptible bodies. The man of sin and his armies have to be crushed. Yeshua has to return to Earth with his elect to do that, and then he has to reign for 1000 years from the throne of David.
How many of those things have you seen happen?
Yeshua assured us in Matthew 5 that Torah remains until the Earth and the heavens have fled from his face. Has that happened yet?
Don’t get in a rush, he has much work to do.
.
I find no profit in it. As long as one is willing to believe that one word of YHWH cancels out another, the whole counsel of YHWH cannot be seen.
It should be enough that one is grafted onto Israel, and that Israel is commanded to keep Torah forever.
It should be enough that one's own Master said to do and keep Torah.
One would think that one would question a religion that, purporting to serve YHWH, keeps *none* of what YHWH sanctified forever, and instead, by tradition, keeps pagan holy days and rituals, and leans upon wisdom of men... One might think that such would see the dichotomy and turn to find out why.

Unlearn.
Well, other than that sabbath thingy, and the bowing down to statues part...
The gospels are RETROSPECTIVE ...they relate the life of Jesus UNDER THE OLD TESTAMENT LAW... in a real sense the gospels are Old Testament scripture ... The New Testament did not begin until Christ fulfilled the OT on the cross
Also remember the gospels record Jesus and the apostles bringing the gospel to the Jews not the gentiles ... The gentiles were never under the ten Commandments
Yes not a jot or tittle of the law will pass away.. God will continue to use it as a schoolmaster to bring people to Christ..
My old friend ...if you are burdened down by the law...look to Christ.. Mat 11; 29"Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. 30"For My yoke is easy and My burden is light."
Come rest in Christ
Because YHWH commanded it to be so.

I don't know nuthin'. I just do as YHWH said to do.
So you've have something to post.
Why do you post THIS?
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Paul said quite plainly...
Acts 22:21
"Then the Lord said to me, 'Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles.'"
HMMMmmm...
Go commit adultery and tell your spouse.
Then come back and tell me what the law is.
In this age of The Church, the Bride of Christ, salvation means the Holy Spirit of God, as sent by The Lord Jesus Christ, comes into the dead human spirit within the human soul (behavior mechanism of mind, will, and emotion) and begins the transformation that is New Life. The part of the nature of God is defined in the Ten Commandments, so the behavior of the new born will take on the new nature. But the transition is not absolutely complete at the beginning, so God has assured us that He is faithful and just to forgive us when we acknowledge our failures to live up to that new nature, and restore us to open living in His Spirit. Like the prodigal son however, we must return to Him for the cleansing and acceptance.
Reading 2 1 Jn 2:1-5a
My children, I am writing this to you
so that you may not commit sin.
But if anyone does sin, we have an Advocate with the Father,
Jesus Christ the righteous one.
He is expiation for our sins,
and not for our sins only but for those of the whole world.
The way we may be sure that we know him is to keep
his commandments.
Those who say, “I know him,” but do not keep his commandments
are liars, and the truth is not in them.
But whoever keeps his word,
the love of God is truly perfected in him.
Those gentiles were the dispersed lost sheep of the House of Israel, just as Hosea prophesied, and as Paul explained in Romans 7.
