Thanks, I appreciate you saying so.
I do know, however, that no God that Im willing to worship is going to get cheesed off over people having different interpretations of scriptural arcana.
God is the final arbiter of His domain. Interpreting the same thing multiple ways becomes problematic when that is the sole source of discovering salvation. God takes His Word quite seriously. We, as His creation, are responsible for the correct interpretation.
I have enjoyed this discourse. Be well and I pray that you humbly seek the Truth.
What was Abraham Lincoln's mother's name?
Well, certainly the Hebrew priests were married because the lineage of Levi had to continue...and it was only the lineage of Levi that could be priests. However, following the cross, the Eternal High Priesthood of Jesus removed the need for “priests” and they no longer existed after the resurrection (other than in Judaism). The sacerdotalism of Rome is another manufactured element that is unbiblical.
The term you have translated “bishop” is in the Greek, “elder” or “greybeard”. And, those caring for the gatherings were supposed to be thus equipped. There is no formal “clergy” in the New Covenant. And, Paul was not St. Paul, but “Paul” in all Scriptural references. Just as you are likely a saint TrappedBehindEnemyLines (good handle, incidentally), he was just a believer who was given a certain role.
Then he's an idiot!
Really?
I chose the screen name I have because I live in Los Angeles, well behind enemy lines with all of the far left wacko birds we have running the gigantic insane asylum called California.
LOL. Okay, that is true. We marvel from AZ that the inmates are running the asylum there (and in Washington), so we wish you well as you truly are “Trapped Behind Enemy Lines”. Although...ps...it seems to be closing in around here, too.
...I firmly believe that Mary, according to the words of the gospel as a pure Virgin brought forth for us the Son of God and in childbirth and after childbirth forever remained a pure, intact Virgin...

Why ??? was she planning to have another baby sans an Earthy father at a later date ???
What was the need to get married but not have sex with her lawful husband if she could just keep on popping out babies on her own ???
No she got married so that she could have a normal relationship with the father that the baby would need there in the home...and naturally children followed..
Jesus needed a father a father and a mother to act normally and o be an example to him and teach Him what He would need to know to grow up normally..
Ya notice God never put Mary with another woman..there was no Jesus has two mommies..
God would not have gone against His own word..
Marriage did not stop because Jesus was born..it continued just as God had designed it centuries before..
and 2,000 years later marriage between a man and a women is still important to God...
Paul said:
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the Word, and to present her to Himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—for we are members of his body.
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and THE TWO WILL BECOME ONE FLESH.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:25-33
Why would Mary not fulfill all righteousness and be an example to the believers ???
Even the LORD Jesus Christ said that marriage included having sex...He never said except for my Mom..
“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.” Mark 10:6-10
Who would think that Mary or Joseph would have had any type of “separation” between them in their God ordained marriage ???
No they had a proper marriage ...
They didn’t live like brother and sister...they were man and wife...to be fruitful and multiply...
One would think the very fact that Jesus brothers and sisters were mentioned several times would show Mary had other children.
In the first part, I insulted no one.
In the first quotation, the universal Church, is the sum of all Christians, and those, who if they knew about Christ would be Christians.
Also, the Lateran Council was reasserting the belief of the True Presence.
In Vatican I, we see an assertion of fact.
In no case do I deserved to be insulted, regardless of how one feels about pronouncements of other faiths.
Your point is valid. You didn’t judge me personally, on that, I apologize.
My question should have read, by what authority do those outside of the Catholic Church have to call anybody a heretic.
If you are interested in reading a point to the contrary, this is a good article: http://www.catholic.com/tracts/mary-ever-virgin
Yes, the gospel is all about Jesus. However, there are special people in Jesus' life. Jesus has a unique relationship with Mary. She is His mother.
Is it possible that you see Jesus only as God but marginalize His humanity?
Worship as one sees fit, and don't chide others on how they worship or what they believe..
Without Nancy Hanks Lincoln, there would be no Abraham Lincoln.
No apology necessary. Between the brethren, we should be able to discuss these matters and I enjoyed discussing them with you.
My question should have read, by what authority do those outside of the Catholic Church have to call anybody a heretic.
If you were to rely solely upon the Catholic church to correct itself, then you most certainly will be waiting an eternity. Martin Luther did his criticism as an ordained priest, but any member of the body of Christ has the right to point out teachings that are contrary to scripture. Catholicism is the largest sect of Christianity and presents the face of the body of Christ to the non-believing as well as the believing world. Where they stray from scripture is enough to cause many to be led away from the faith and can cause them to go to their damnation. This must not be allowed to happen. If, by our dialogue, we can turn back one sheep headed down the path to destruction, Christ will most certainly not look bad upon it.
For me personally, it’s not important if Mary was perpetually virgin or had children through Joseph after Jesus’ virgin birth. In either case, scripture is fulfilled.
you still made a very bad decision.
in whose opinion??
