In their dictatorship of mercy and condemnation of the Law and those who try to live by it some appear to have forgotten who is in charge.
it is a world of sin inhabitted by sinners in need of salvation .... really simple.
How can sinners obtain salvation if they pretend to be repentant but continue in their sins with no resolve to “sin no more”?
Sin, as a concept is perfect ... as is holiness
Perfection cannot exist in an imperfect world ... thus the need for salvation
Being born again AND a sinner is not a contradiction ..
Romans 7:14ff
14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.
15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
“A recent paper by a Ph.D. priest from Poland has been circling the globe in recent weeks and given heightened prominence by the recent revelations of a Vatican inquiry into a gay mafia inside the Vatican. Standing with the Pope against homoheresy, was written in late 2012 by Fr. Dariusz Oko, Ph.D., a priest of the Archdiocese of Krakow and Assistant Professor at the John Paul II Pontifical University in Krakow.
Fr. Oko notes that his discovery of a huge homosexual underground in the Church came from his work in philosophical criticism of homosexual propaganda and ideology, a study he was encouraged to undertake by various bishops and cardinals.
I began my work as a struggle against a deadly, external threat to Christianity, but then gradually discovered, he said, that the enemy is not only outside the Church, but within it, as well,
In his essay, the philosophy professor reveals his own run in with a homosexual clique in the Roman Catholic Church blocking justice for those abused by homosexual clergy, in this case a homosexual bishop...”

Now wait a minute. I have been a Catholic all of my life.
I confess the same sins over and over again. I would say that I have gotten better on, but many; not so much... It’s pretty tough to do every thing right.
I would bet that your sins are pretty much the same as mine (unless your an axe murderer). And in spite of the “sin no more” clause, it continues.
The good part is that I recognize it immediately and back off...
But each time you confess, do you not firmly resolve to sin no more?
How can a divorced and remarried adulterer remain in an adulterous relationship with no resolve to end it, yet be given Holy Communion while in a state of unrepentant mortal sin?
Sounds like you a fan of the heretic Luther.
Let me rephrase the above, in Luther's "world":
Sin, as a concept is perfect in it's holiness.
Repentance is not understood in Christianity. Repentance or Teshuvah in Hebrew, means to return to G-d and return to keeping His Torah. It does not mean to feel sorry for your sins and tell G-d you’ll try to do better. Real repentance has always meant returning to Torah. Rome abandoned the Torah and sought to pick her way through the commandments like they were a Brunch Buffet, choosing the statutes that she could credibly blend with the Greco-Roman Paganism of the Empires’ masses. The result was a Jekyll and Hyde Institution that could produce great culture as well as great evil. What a mess! Now the whole structure is failing under the stress of Post Modern assaults and it does not have the ability to project power in a decisive way. Isam does not have this problem. The Answer is for Christians to return to their identity as grafted in branches of greater Israel. That would mean that they would say, “We were wrong! Help us to come home!”

I’m not divorced and never will be... I’ve been married for 47 years to the same woman.
Committing adultery is of course a sin... But not any more so than working on the Sunday. Or using the Lord’s name in vein, or any of the other commandments.
You don’t think murder is a graver sin that a third grader cheating on a math test?
Why shouldn't a married man who divorces an adultress be allowed back into the Catholic church and allowed to remarry?
Come home to whom? Those who have rejected their Savior to this day?
You can ask any good, holy Catholic priest and you can ask Cardinal Kasper. You’ll get two opposite answers.
What part of for “better or worse” do you not understand?
Since I don't have access to either one, I'm asking you.......And since my dad is no longer alive, I can't ask him.
no comment
But that is not what I said
Or using the Lords name in vein, or any of the other commandments.
My apologies. I mistook you for another poster.
Again, I did not mean to direct that to you.
