I confess the same sins over and over again.

But each time you confess, do you not firmly resolve to sin no more?

How can a divorced and remarried adulterer remain in an adulterous relationship with no resolve to end it, yet be given Holy Communion while in a state of unrepentant mortal sin?

I’m not divorced and never will be... I’ve been married for 47 years to the same woman.

Committing adultery is of course a sin... But not any more so than working on the Sunday. Or using the Lord’s name in vein, or any of the other commandments.

Why shouldn't a married man who divorces an adultress be allowed back into the Catholic church and allowed to remarry?
