Three Words Catholics Do Not Understand
It Is Finished - Three Words Catholics Do Not Understand
The perfect, all-sufficient sacrifice of Christ that satisfied divine justice for all believers was accomplished 2000 years ago. Jesus cried out in victory - "It is finished." The work of salvation is done. The eternal debt for sin has been paid in full. No more offerings, no more sacrifices, no more priests! The Lord Jesus willingly died for mans sins to pay the debt that we could never pay. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness: by His wounds you have been healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Yet Catholics instead choose to trust in the sacrifice of the Mass, a blasphemous representation of a eucharistic Christ on an altar. They would rather trust the Sacrifice of the Mass as a sin offering to God rather than trusting in the one-time, all-sufficient, sacrifice of Christ.
Jesus appeared to take away sins once for all" by His sacrifice" (Hebrews 9:26). Through His blood God made Him the means of expiation (of sin) for all who believe" (Romans 3:25). Vatican II denies these sacred Scriptures by teaching: Sins must be expiated...on this earth through the sorrows, miseries and trials of this life and, a above all, through death. Otherwise the expiation must be made in the next life through fire and torments or purifying punishments (Vatican Council II). What a terrible deception to impose on faithful Roman Catholics who look to their church for the truth! The very reason and purpose Christ became man and suffered such an excruciating death was to expiate sin, once and for all, by His perfect sacrifice. How can any church, which claims to follow Christ, withhold this truth from its people and create in its place doctrines that nullify the Savior's finished work?
Roman Catholic teachings also nullify another accomplishment of Christ, the purification of sins. The writer of the book of Hebrews declared that "when He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" (Heb. 1:3). The apostle John also proclaimed that those who trust Christ are purified from all sin, by His blood (1 John 1:7). Vatican Council II states that purgatory is where "those
who have not made satisfaction with adequate penance for their sins and omissions are cleansed after death with punishments designed to purge away their debt. Jesus reconciled the world to God, changing its relationship with God from hostility to harmony. The sinner is reconciled to God when he trusts in Christ as his Savior. "It is in Christ and through His blood that we have been redeemed and our sins are forgiven" (Eph. 1:7). Being reconciled to God is difficult for Catholics to comprehend, for they have been taught the only way to made peace with God is through a life long journey of works--receiving the sacraments, going to Mass and doing penance. The only response to the accomplishments of Christ that will reconcile anyone to God is repentance and faith.

I this was interesting..
From the Chabad-Lubavitch site:
According to the Talmud and the Zohar, those righteous souls who have passed on from this world are still very much in touch with their students and family and care for them and their problems. We petition them to pray on our behalf--and they do and often their prayers are more effective than our own. After all, we often don't fathom the seriousness of these problems from our limited perspective as much as they might from their much more lofty view.

Nothing in your post is from scripture, it is from the very “Traditions of Men” that Yeshua spent the entire 23rd chapter of Matthew denouncing.
What “Jews” do and what Moses did are two completely different sets of actions and beliefs.
There is no provision in scripture for any period of “purification” for a departed soul. They obviously go to “The Bosom of Abraham” until the entire elect are gathered at the Last Trump for the wedding feast of Yeshua, and that period varies depending on when the person lived and died.
Yehova has no need of any input from family to discern the Heart of the deceased!

Talmud and Sohar are the preservation of the traditions of men that Yeshua denounced in Matthew 23.
Interesting particularly to those living in darkness.

Jews do not follow Torah! (except Karaites)
They follow the traditions of men recorded in Talmud.

I need to give you more of an answer than my previous post. My problem is I am a very poor typist "hunt and peck" and my mind runs faster than I can type.
God sent Jesus to earth to show us the true God and Savior of the world.
Since the beginning of time man as a whole believed there was something bigger than him (God). That is something God put into our souls. So people erected things honored and worshiped what ever god they looked up to. the ancient Greeks, Zeus. The Chinese Buda. the Norse Thor, and so on... etc. You know what I'm getting at. God wanted us to believe the Right Creator and God of all creation and sent His Son to show us the way for true Salvation.
To me this is a clinical explanation why God sent Jesus to this world to Save us and to bring us to Him.
There is one thing I know. God is pure LOVE. More than you can Imagine. Why, because 30yrs ago I had something similar to a near death experience in which I had a glimpse of Heaven and the experience is something I will never forget.
I will tell you this. The people who convinced you to turn away from the Catholic Church were wrong and miss guided, and if you want to know why. Ask me.

You were telling of your glimpse of Heaven and then, out of the blue, said this quote. It does not follow.

It is true according to Yeshua HaMessiach Your interpretations are certainly true - to those who share your tradition or recognize your authority. And, there's at least one of those folks for sure!

The three points of disagreement seem to be mostly founded in a misunderstanding of the Churches teaching.
1. When a man chooses to take the calling of the priesthood he is aware of what he is giving up. The rule against priests marrying has been there is a disapline, not a dogma, but was found to be a very good one and so has been in forced since very early in the church. On the other hand, there is not a rule against ordaining married men to the priesthood in the Eastern church and exceptions are made on a case by case basis in the West.
In my old parish we had an older priest who was married and had a family and was ordained after she died and the kids were all grown. Having experienced both sides he was a very vocal advocate for priestly celibacy.
2. This is a belief that can be traced to the church fathers and flows out of the oral Tradition of the church rather than the bible. The appearing contradiction can be understood as a problem with translation and words like cousin and brother not nessasarily having direct analogs in the original text.
3. Papal infallibility has nothing to do with sinlessness or always being right. Certainly a claim like that in review of church history would be patently ridiculous as occupants of that office have been subject to every vice and sin as the rest of us as well as ignorance and foolish sayings. All the grace of infallibility does is prevent the popes from teaching error about the faith in a very narrow set of conditions.

Typical denier of the word.I'm only denying your authority (and or the authority of your tradition) to say what Holy Scripture means.
That's different than denying Holy Scripture.

It is Saved by Grace. That is it. Believe the Gospel, 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4. Death, Burial and Resurrection. Believe. Simply put, Faith plus nothing. Faith. Nothing else. No works. No being a nice guy. No I gave money to this and that. I never cheated on my wife. I paid my taxes. I loved my kids. I voted. I supported my local Church. I was there in the pew every Sunday, never missed a week. I was a deacon. I was a Sunday School teacher. I did ALL that STUFF I was suppose to do. EXCEPT one thing, BELIEVE in the atoning Blood of Jesus Christ on the Cross, when He said, It is finished. His work was done. Mission accomplished. No Mary. No rosary beads. No going to the guy in the little booth and asking forgiveness. All done. Finished. We are saved by believing the Gospel that Paul brought to us directly from the Christ. In his three years in Arabia. Christ taught him EVERYTHING He wanted Paul to know and do. To suffer for the Gospel. And Paul suffered. Faith plus nothing. Nothing else needed or required. Amen.
I asked a Catholic priest once how I could be sure I was going to heaven, and not hell.
He stammered, looked very confused and perplexed, and finally said to me: "Well, uhhh, ummm, that is a Great Mystery."
