The offensive remark was something the teacher posted on Facebook.
If the Catholic Church isn’t willing to defend its teachings, then what is the point?
People have the right to speak their minds and employers have the right to employ who they want. Many times we read of employees of Cathoic schools who are found out to be either Gay or who have children out of wedlock and are removed from their positions and rightfully so.
This case seems to be the opposite.
I recommend to anyone who wants to keep their jobs or stay out of jail or keep their spouses to think hard before they expound on things on social media to perhaps think up a good alias or just not open their mouthes on said media.
Of course if you are going to take a stand for your beliefs and are not concerned with repercussions then good for you. I respect that. But if you need that job and don’t want to jeopardize it, consider being a little more circumspect
Why was she so silly to post it on Facebook?
Not very prudent on her part.

Prudence
Justice
Fortitude
Temperance
Michael Voris of Church Militant calls it the “Church of Nice”. These “leaders” are leading their flock down the road to perdition. Shepherds of the faithful they are not!
Oh, you think I'm kidding?

And since we have the address of the school, can we not make our voices heard?

By the way, I do not think this teacher failed in "prudence." Prudence entails (among other things) getting your facts straight, ordering things aright and knowing what's worth fighting for. This is worth fighting for.
The reality is that teachers can not behave as others outside of school. This sort of response you would expect from a public school regarding a Catholic teacher’s Facebook comments. The issue is that this was a “Catholic” school taking a Catholic teacher to task. For me, this is just more of the same.
