Rome on high alert with Islamic State just 300 miles from Italy
About 500 extra troops have been stationed around historic sites in Rome after ISIS made threats against the city last week.
Italy, which is just 300-miles from jihadi-controlled territory in Libya, was referred to by the terrorists as “the nation signed with the blood of the cross” in a recent video.
ISIS has made repeated references to conquering Rome in its various messages, although there is some debate about whether “Rome” in fact refers to a symbolic enemy, or perhaps Turkey or the United Sttaes. However, according to USA Today, security has been increased in the city.

Rather silly to post more troops in Rome while allowing hordes of Muslim migrants to enter the country and stay.
They had better be ready for a MiG-21 on a one-way mission to St. Peter’s Basilica. If they don’t have strip alerts at both ends of Sicily, they are already behind the power curve.

The savages mean Christianity. Italy needs to kick them all out.
I worry that they will just intercept an airliner leaving Sfax, Tunisia for Rome, tuck in tight behind it after takeoff and trail it all the way to the Italian coast at Rome. Then gun the airliner, lower the nose, and go full burner into the Vatican or NATO headquarters (more likely the Vatican.
Italy/NATO also needs to place SAM and AAA batteries in the target areas for that reason. Or better yet, start taking out the Libyan aircraft on the ground.
Do they actually have rifles? Or broomsticks, like the German "troops" who were doing "war games" recently?
But if you kick’m all out you will also eject the many “normal” and peaceful muzzies, and that would be an unjust act.
We in the US are also facing a similar dilemma, but we are kicking this handgranate down the road.
