Maybe descriptions of Hell are so horrific to keep people from thinking about how hellish popular versions of the Christian Heaven would beeven without Pat Robertson in the mix.
Most Westerners are at least vaguely familiar with the popular Christian version of Heaven: pearly gates, streets of gold, winged angels and the Righteous, with their bodies made perfect and immortal, singing the praises of God forever. Whats surprising is how few people have actually thought about what a nightmare this kind of existence would be.

it’s a straw man argument. No true Christian thinks that heaven will be like this.
I mean, she bases her idea of heaven on cartoons...
Exactly which leads me to believe most people think Heaven won’t be as good as Earth. I worried about that for half my life. I have come to the belief that there is no way God is going to reward our good behavior here with a trip to harp world in the hereafter. :-)

I think that those who don’t want to be in eternity do not understand just how vast the storehouse of knowledge is and just how busy we will be. Isaiah teaches us that eternity will be a a fairly libertarian existence and nobody will ever try and take what belongs to you away.
I personally view it as a Star-Trek like experience in that we will have access to technology that we could not dream of in our existence and we’ll be playing with forces and energies that would probably destroy us at this point in time.
>>Glad I am not the only one who thought of that episode. It sounded an awful lot like heaven in Islam.<<
No matter what they describe, it is impossible for a muslim to go to any kind of heaven.
There was another similar TZ episode (”100 yards over the rim”), where John Astin as a hippie ends up with an old couple showing their vacation slides and after he figures out he is in Hell, is informed — *spoiler alert* — “there is a room just like this up there.”
> Ignorance of religion is the greatest evil.
Literal interpretation and misinterpretation by a heathen with no context or understanding of the history, culture or belief systems of their day is up there as well.
If dogs can’t get into heaven,
just send me where the dogs go.
LOL! I sure hope to be reunited with our dog Buddy and my cat Louie although most people who knew Louie thought he was the spawn of Satan. So I’m not really counting on seeing Louie again. :-)
Talk to Pascal.
All I know is that if I die and see this Valerie Tarico on the other side, I know I’m in Hell.
This poor earth bound thing can’t understand what she doesn’t understand. It isn’t a heaven made by men it is a reward granted by God. The heaven she speaks of is the one in her own little head. Christians KNOW they can’t comprehend it.
Twice I have been taken up in a vision to see the Great Throne Room. Once as a young man and now as a old man, both times with a Malachim at my side. The last time the Melachim touch my lips with a coal of fire and said you are a Watchman set to warn the people. If you do not speak than your brothers blood is on your head. I’m a little freaked out as I’m a Jew and we don’t do this stick.
Not a surprise at all.

The weak man in me says, “Valerie, there’s no reason you have to go there, sweetheart.”
Thankfully, my Savior disagrees.
I think that's well within the realm of possibility. Just the library would be enough for me. Imagine, all the classical Greek tragedies that didn't survive (95% or more) will be there. Not to mention all the sequels that didn't get written before the author died.
And all the time in the universe for drawing and sewing ... and choir practice with all my old friends and myriads of new ones ...
