Today's Scripture
Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the Lord God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished. (I Chronicles 28:20, ESV)
Today's Word from Joel and Victoria
Fear not. That is the message David had for his son, Solomon. For many years, David wanted to build a temple for the Lord. But God told Him that specific job belonged to his son, Solomon. Solomon was young and inexperienced, and even though he knew he had a mandate from God, he was intimidated by the prospect of building a great house of worship, one that would be a dwelling place for the Most High. You can probably understand his apprehension.
But his father David had some good advice for him. He told his son, Forget your fear. God is bigger than your problems. He is bigger than the temple you are going to build. He is bigger than any adversity that you might face. So just get busy and do your part and God will do the rest.
Perhaps as this new year approaches, you have some changes that need to be made. Maybe you need a renovation in your marriage, finances, health, or emotions. Whatever your individual needs may be, notice the words of David, Be strong and courageous, and do it. Fear not, be not dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you.
A Prayer for Today
God, Im excited to see what You have planned for me this year. Whatever I face, I will not be intimidated. I will begin this year by seeing myself as You do happy, healthy, and prosperous. Thank you for the gift of another year. In Jesus name, Amen.
The transcript you posted does NOT show Joel Osteen saying that Jesus is NOT the only way to God.
Even when you seem to be right in your hateful attacks and accusations, you are wrong because you’ve got the attitude of the Accuser of the Brethren. I pray you’ll be delivered form that stronghold of Satan.
Here’s just one of the transcript exerts from Kings Interview....
KING: So you didn’t go to seminary?
OSTEEN: No, sir, I didn’t.
KING: They can just make you a minister? (Osteens Church)
OSTEEN: You can, you can.
KING: That’s kind of an easy way in.
OSTEEN: Yeah, but I think it happens more than you think. But I didn’t go to seminary
KING: So the church in a sense ordained you?
OSTEEN: Right. And then you’re ordained through the State of Texas.
........................................................
KING: If you believe you have to believe in Christ? They’re wrong, aren’t they?
OSTEEN: Well, ...’I don’t know’... if I believe they’re wrong. I believe here’s what the Bible teaches and from the Christian faith this is what I believe. But I just think that only God with judge a person’s heart. I spent a lot of time in India with my father. ...’I don’t know’... all about their religion. But I know they love God. And ‘I don’t know’... I’ve seen their sincerity. ...’So I don’t know’.
KING: What is the prosperity gospel?
OSTEEN: I think the prosperity gospel in general is — well ‘I don’t know.’... I hear it too. ...’I don’t know’...
.... I do believe this, that God wants us to be blessed. He wants us to be able to send our kids to college, excel in our careers. “
KING: You don’t call them sinners?
OSTEEN: I don’t.
KING: Is that a word you don’t use?
OSTEEN: I don’t use it.
KING: Do you know you’re getting through to people? Billy Graham used to know it because they came down and gave themselves to Christ. How do you know?
OSTEEN: I feel the same way. I can see it there in the church when I see my book do what it did. And when we go to arenas across the country and every one of them’s been sold out. Its just, you know, we get thousands of letters and stuff. And you know, I feel like we are, you know. I feel like we’re making a difference.
Then why did Osteen later apologize?
He doesn’t know Jesus. Plain and simple.
You accuse falsely and then deflect when challenged.
Quit wasting my time.
I speak the truth and provide backup.
Quit wasting my time.
A self-inflicted wound if I have ever seen one.
So do you think you are exempt from this when you call others'*pharisees*?
By calling everyone else who disagrees with you a pharisee, by the Scripture you post, you just condemned yourself.
Hey, even Benny Hinn calls Osteen out on his cowardice for refusing to say that Jesus is the only way to God.

I gotta say, it’s the first time I ever agreed with Hinn about anything. There’s hope for him yet.
Then why did Osteen apologize later for being such a wuss and capitulating when he should have taken a stand?
Benny Hinn doesn’t have a whole lot of room to talk.
Neither do you.
His favorite cop out...”I don’t know”.
I’ve never heard someone who uses that phrase as frequently when answering questions he’s uncomfortable answering, or wants to avoid. It’s is safety net for having no courage to take a stand....and he can’t do that because he’s playing in a different game.
Love of Jesus has it’s place.
So does REBUKE and exposing false teaching.
One uses the correct bait when trying to catch fish.
A 100 pure doctrinally ‘devotional’ posts will lull you, and then the hook is set.
Women get a man, hoping to change him.
When a man gets a women, he hopes she never changes!
Have you seen my postings of Sheen, on tolerance?
Attacking?
That’ll pass.
Heck, their old WICKED POPEs get a pass these days!
Yes (among Catholics)
Sometimes you stomp the scary spider 5-6 times.
Just to make sure, you know...
Satan had a ‘good faith devotional’ with Jesus in the wilderness - used Scripture even!
Likeminded?
We are told to have the mind of Christ.
Pretend is doctrine?
