As is common in your posts on this thread, you ignore everything that determines what a passage means, to latch onto a falsehood. It has been demonstrated sufficiently for all objective readers.
Those whose mind was closed around an idea they brought to the passage were never open to the meaning of the passage.
As the saying goes, “Nothing is more dangerous than an idea, when you only have one idea.
I did not expect you to treat the passage objectively. I’ve responded to and corrected your errors for the benefit of those who will read this exchange and who seek truth.
Thanks, and blessings to you in 2015.
It seems to me you could just swap the to and from ids and your thoughts apply to yourself. I hope you have good works of Messiah to go with them in 2015, as I wish for us all.
And yet catholics deny the literal account of Genesis 1. There is nothing symbolic about Genesis 1. If you don't get this right, you have a hard time getting the rest right.
God himself created the visible world in all its richness, diversity and order. Scripture presents the work of the Creator symbolically as a succession of six days of divine "work", concluded by the "rest" of the seventh day.204....CCC 337
And if that isn't enough, they even allow for believing in evolution! And don't say catholics don't.....remember...we have the internet.
I treat it objectively. There are several verses that I pointed out that are focused on the words of Jesus at the Last Supper -- where He clearly referred to His own body -- and at the same time at the celebration at Corinth, which lacked discernment. It could be that the larger context is the assembly of Christians, but the remarks done by Paul in the passage in focus reflect his opinion on the real presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Happy New Year to you!
