The reason for this article is to determine if the worship/veneration given to Mary by the catholic church is justified from a Biblical perspective. This will be evaluated using the Biblical standard and not mans standard.

I am a confirmed Catholic and as such I have not only the ability but also an obligation to explain what the Scripture says and generally what the Holy Catholic Church teaches generally. They are not private interpretations similar to how Protestant charlatans interpret the Holy Scripture. If I say something that contradict the teaching of the Church, I will be corrected by fellow Catholics and I will study what the truth is and from that point on I will teach that.
Protestantism has a culture of contorting the scripture and of ignoring it. Please do not make the assumption that because you are used to seeing Protestant pastors engage in private interpretations of scripture, that everyone does it.

Oh. My. Goodness.
This is a GEM!
I never knew that reading and interpreting could be so completely divorced just by the simple act of explanation.
Whodathunk it.

I am a confirmed Catholic and as such I have not only the ability but also an obligation to explain what the Scripture saysI am also a confirmed catholic (well, ex catholic that is) so I have the ability and obligation to explain what the scripture says. You are still a catholic, therefore, when you try to explain it, you are interpreting it, and you even admitted it yourself, that you are not allowed to interpret without a priest. You must be consistent. Telling people what is says and interpreting are one and the same. This is not brain surgery. Be consistent. Don't explain anything, because when you explain, you are giving your interpretation, and I don't agree with your interpretation. We will have to agree to disagree. See you at the pearly gates. 😄

Hey! gamecock, Here is another one for you!!!
Hey mom, I see you got a kick out of that. I did too. Would you say that is a classic example of catholic speak? I am not buying it. See you at the pearly gates.

I’m a confirmed Catholic as well and I daresay virtually all of us former Catholics have made their confirmation.
So that doesn’t put you on any level any differentthan us.

You don't say!! If you can't prove the apostles taught it we are to consider those who teach it accursed.

>>I gave you sufficient quotes that show that the process of salvation is not complete yet till death and judgment.<<
No, you didn't. You can't because it's not is scripture. I have shown you that we who believe on Jesus alone have already been given the guarantee of the Holy Spirit. The only thing you can show is the end result of our salvation not yet realized.
Nor are those who believe in Jesus alone subjected to judgement. How could they be? All of our sins have been forgiven.

>>Sure she is; she is identified as the mother of Christ.<<
Israel was already identified in the Old Testament as the women in labor.
Isaiah 66:7 "Before she goes into labor, she gives birth; before the pains come upon her, she delivers a son. 8 Who hath heard anything like this? Who hath seen anything like these? Is earth caused to bring forth in one day? Born is a nation at once? For she hath been pained, Zion also hath borne her sons.
Israel is from whom Jesus came as prophesied in the Old Testament.

So says the Catholic Church, as does Mormonism and Muslims. Good company you keep there!

So for them it’s only “explaining”!!! If it weren’t for double speak we wouldn’t hear much from Catholics.

Do you see that by works a man is justified; and not by faith only? (James 2:24).Luke 7:50
"Your FAITH has saved you. Go in peace."
