It's been acknowledged and recognized for what it is. Protestant deception. The real issue is that in order for protestants to maintain the lie that Catholics follow men and not Christ and His Church the protestant must insist that the sins of men must fundamentally alter our way of thinking about Christ and His promise to us. Thus proving it is the protestant who puts their faith in man and not God.
It is the protestant who allows their faith to be shaken by the failings of man. For the protestant the only choice to them for such things is either a) fire their leaders or b) move on and find another ecclesial community or c) start their own.
In short, the protestant will not rest until their concern-trolling has transformed some Catholic into a fellow traveler who exclaims "OMG! Some gay priest messed with a kid and other gays or gay-sympathizers in the Church conspired to cover it up. I must now now question the validity of the Eucharist.
So, we recognize. More than you think we do. We also recognize where such things come from and it's not from God.
There, there; John de Stogumber.
No need to be upset.
We've seen how in this thread alone, many Catholics will NOT follow the pope.
Let your heart be at ease.

Anything to side step the issue.
And let's look at the options for a Roman Catholic who falls under a bad priest, or Pope: a)Ride it out. b)Ride it Out c)Ride it out.
Hardly. Because he doesn't look to man and he doesn't trust in man. Because the Prots faith is built on the Rock of Christ, who will not fail, their faith is not shaken by the failings of a man.

If he's done something illegal, like molesting children, then we also have the option of blowing him in to the authorities and the secular authorities have put the Catholic church to shame in their ability to deal with child molesters.
