There are some real nuts out there.
#6. It destroys people’s faith.
His mom was Jewish and what Jewish mom wouldn’t want her boy to get married? Have kids so she could have grand kids ... make Simchas Torah Crackers, Purim Cake .....
I don’t see any particular reason to get one’s shorts in a knot one way or the other. I’d prefer to meet him in the hereafter and see for myself.
Jesus may or may not have been married.
But his mother was.
“Everyone wants a Jesus in his/her own image”
Like how many “church leaders” say Jesus would approve of homosexual marriage?
If one, or perhaps two, actually studied the Bible, they and three would realize that Jesus had the hots for Mary of Bethany! and if you add one, two and three, they make it six reasons for Jesus and Mary of Bethany to be husband and wife.

What people is the headline talking about?
As far as our Salvation is concerned it doesn’t matter a bit, but my opinion is that he was never married or with a woman because of the following Scripture.
Revelation 14:4 New International Version (NIV)
4 These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb.
If they can’t defile themselves then Jesus didn’t either.
1 Corinthians 7:1 New International Version (NIV)
7 Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman.
I think people want to believe it because it would be a “gotcha!” against Christians. Like, “See? Everything you believe is wrong!”
But why would Jesus marry? He said at one point that He had no place to lay down His head. That would have been a very tough life for His wife and kids. He also knew He was going to be crucified, leaving his wife a widow and his children fatherless. It doesn’t make sense that He would have married.
Married? No. No evidence whatsoever. Brothers & possibly sisters? Yes. Scripture does point to it.
