Heavenly Father –

May Your Holy Word be set ablaze in our land and set afire another Great Awakening. May our ears be open to hear, our eyes to see, and our heart to receive Your Spirit. Give us a heart of repentance and knowledge and love for Your Word.

Send revival and healing in our land, lest we perish as we continue our downward slide into the dark abyss of sin. May we, again, be a witness to Your goodness and mercy and receive the blessings of a people whose God is the Lord .

Keep all our heroes, who fight the battles on all fronts – physically, morally, and spiritually. Shield them in Your special care. May Your presence dwell in them and give them strength in the power of Your Spirit.

In Jesus Name we pray,

IN THE COLDEST and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered his prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting Glory, and bestowed His Manifold Blessings upon the new Nation.

FROM THE BRAVE, albeit weary, ill-equipped, and untrained volunteers who marched into Valley Forge on 19 December 1777 arose, with the help of some gallant friends from across the waves, the cohesive fighting force that became the United States Army, global defender of Freedom and scourge of Tyrants.



AS GENERAL WASHINGTON lifted his prayers on high in that bleak Winter, let our prayers now rise like a fountain for our Heroes in the American Armed Forces who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and gather them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.
