Why would intelligent, successful people give up their careers, alienate their friends, and cause havoc in their families...to become Catholic? Indeed, why would anyone become Catholic?
As an evangelist and author who recently threw my own life into some turmoil by deciding to enter the Catholic Church, I've faced this question a lot lately. That is one reason I decided to make this documentary; it's part of my attempt to try to explain to those closest to me why I would do such a crazy thing.
Convinced isn't just about me, though. The film is built around interviews with some of the most articulate and compelling Catholic converts in our culture today, including Scott Hahn, Francis Beckwith, Taylor Marshall, Holly Ordway, Abby Johnson, Jeff Cavins, Devin Rose, Matthew Leonard, Mark Regnerus, Jason Stellman, John Bergsma, Christian Smith, Kevin Vost, David Currie, Richard Cole, and Kenneth Howell. It also contains special appearances by experts in the field of conversion such as Patrick Madrid and Donald Asci.
Ultimately, this is a story about finding truth, beauty, and fulfillment in an unexpected place, and then sacrificing to grab on to it. I think it will entertain and inspire you, and perhaps even give you a fresh perspective on an old faith.

When I became a Christian, i had not even heard that name. I was a young teenager. So, he had absolutely nothing to do with my salvation. But you just have to be following someone like a pope, after all that is how RCs do it!

Thanks, you made me smile. I do not remember if I even knew what a pope was. We had very few Catholics in my small town. My eye surgery is November 7.

An elderly man walks into a confessional. The following conversation ensues:
Man: ‘I am 92 years old, have a wonderful wife of 70 years, many children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Yesterday, I picked up two college girls, hitch-hiking. We went to a motel, where I had sex with each of them three times.’
Priest: ‘Are you sorry for your sins?’
Man: ‘What sins?’
Priest: ‘What kind of a Catholic are you?’
Man: ‘I’m Jewish.’
Priest: ‘Why are you telling me all this?’
Man: ‘I’m 92 years old . . . . I’m telling everybody!’

If so, I vote to turn them over to the Lord. If He wants let Satan have at them, that's His decision. They're not a part of our fellowship by their own testimonies. (What ARE they doing at this conservative website?)
They do not appear to my understanding to be sincere; just divisive of the brethern and sisteren.

Remind me again why Protestants are not post-modern secularists. We believe in Pythagoras?

The Catholic indoctrination of many is deep and pervasive. It's stunning to observe.

It must be nice to be able to reduce one's faith to a2 + b2 = c2.Oh, Honey...
...it IS!
Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
John 6:28-29
Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?
Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."
1 John 3:21-23
Dear friends, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God and receive from him anything we ask, because we keep his commands and do what pleases him.
And this is his command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.
James 1:27
Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Protestants accepting of the Trinity because it is "true" is not an act of faith. But we accept that the book you compiled is mainly true.
Is THAT not 'faith'?

The problem with that polemical assertion is that protestants assume for themselves the authority to define what constitutes Him, attributing finite qualities according to their own personal preference. You are using my argument against Rome but which does not apply. Here are some more questions for your to ignore like others:
1. Rather than being dependent upon the weight of Scriptural substantiation, Protestantism assumes the validity of an doctrine is based upon the premise of personal assure veracity. Thus like the assumption is assuredly true - or even papal infallibility - because a pope of council in union with him said it is, then so it a Protestant doctrine
2. Protestantism has historically rejected the teaching office or viability of it, as a result of holding Scripture as supreme and accurate, thus those churches which hold most strongly to this esteem of Scripture are characterized by the most doctrinal and moral laxness, which characterizes the majority of those who Rome counts and treats as members in life and in death.
3. Protestantism is to be so broadly defined as to include churches that deny the most basic Truths of the Reformation, thus it can be characterized as liberal due to churches that are closest to Rome, or attacked because not enough of them voted who would have joined the 79% who voted Republican.
