Fear? I can’t wait.
Whatever awaits will mean that I don’t have to endure this life, and this world, any more.
It will be a blessing, and worth it, to suffer the process, and know that it is finished.
And yet another thread bashing non Catholics by those who never bash non Catholics.
That's the part that has always confused me. As Christians, we are told that our sins are forgiven and that love keeps no record of wrongs.
As we all heard in our marriage ceremonies, God is Love. So how can He keep a record of our wrongs, especially when we are told our wrongs (i.e., sins) are forgiven and thrown away as far as the east is from the west.
Obviously, I am going to face this situation for myself one day. I plan on turning to my Counsellor, Jesus, and saying, "You handle this one."
I hope it works.
The fundamental problem with “left behind” theology is it is demonic. Darby (the Darby Bible, Plymouth Brethren, Biblical map of history, etc) was not Christian in any normal sense. He was steeped in pitch and brimstone, both fiery. He construed creation as the seat of evil and release from the world as salvation. Not Biblical.
Christ returns to reign on earth. Those who are left behind will be with Christ. Those who are taken will be in perpetual darkness. That is Biblical and consistent with Jesus’ teachings.
Sorry, but no I do not rejoice in “...any salutary reminders, it is unfortunate that the reminder is riddled with questionable theology and dubious biblical interpretation,” the reason is it is blasphemy and heresy. Anything that leads God’s people astray or confounds theology is from Satan. It is not to be rejoiced in for its half-truths.
So many are looking for THE DAY OF THE LORD.
AMOS 5
18 Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.
19 As if a man did flee from a lion, and a bear met him; or went into the house, and leaned his hand on the wall, and a serpent bit him.
20 Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?
Another anti-Catholic thread! /s
That's funny - exact same title, exact same opening as a thread posted last week, but different authorship cited. Coincidence?
Another Fine Example Of Catholics Never Posting Threads Denigrating Others
When did Kirk Cameron go to divinity school? How did he become an authority on this?
Don't believe God's Word, FRiends. Believe what the unfathomably corrupt "celibate" men in dresses tell you.
Read 2 Peter 2 to learn the fate awaiting false teachers.

A fear of what??? We Christians have been judged already...
Joh 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
he Catholic approach to the end times (eschatology) is perhaps less thrilling and provocative. It does not generate Left Behind movie series
FWIW, I have seen Roman Catholic end times fiction. As well as Mormon end times fiction. (Should have picked them up when I saw them.)
