My Mom is finally at peace in the arms of the Lord. After more than a year in a nursing home, she suffered a setback that she couldn't come back from.
She had a history of "mini-strokes" or TIA's over the past few years. She always battled back, but she always lost a step or two each time.
Two weeks ago, she suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke. Bleeding on the brain finally left her helpless.
After a 5 day stay in the hospital, she was returned to the nursing home this past Tuesday. My two sisters sat with her during the day and I stayed with her overnights.
After a short conversation with her last night, which I'm not sure she heard or understood, one where I assured her that I would take good care of her daughters, she decided that she could stop worrying about them and let go.
It was peaceful.
She loved Jesus with all of her heart because she knew how much Jesus loved her.
I'm so sad and so happy, all at the same time.
I am so sorry for your loss, may all the love & memories bring you much comfort in the days ahead, blessings to you and your family... HK
I’m so sorry. I lost my mom (Helen) in 1996 due to a bump on the noggin that turned out to be a tumor. Give yourself some true “me” time for mourning, but please remember you can see her again so long as you remain true to Yahweh and his loving son. The next time around you won’t be broken apart again.
You always have your memories. And you can still talk with you mother, but you have to listen more.
Just to be home with the Lord. A great experience.
Peace be with you and your family.
al baby...you always make me laugh!
Thank you.
Blessings and Shalom to you.....
The greatest gift my parents gave me was GOD!!! God is love and that is what sustains us through all our difficult times. As Jesus said, I am with YOU always until the end of time!
As I read your post, I could only think how proud she would be to read it.
“Shalom”
How did you know she was a big supporter of “Jews For Jesus”?
;-)

Prayers for you and your family.
Requiescat in pace, Helena.
Prayers lifted for you and your sisters.
Thinking of you at this time.
I lost my mom about a month ago.She made it to 98 and just gave up.She was alert and responsive, but so tired.
She was able to stay home until God lifted her up.
Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. One cannot live well without knowing how to die and live again, thanks to our Savior. May He comfort you.
Thank you luv. Your sincerity is appreciated. I hope you have a good hug nearby. God gave your Mom to you for a very long time. My Dad too. Be grateful and full of sorrow at the same time. Hard I know. Deal
