My Mom is finally at peace in the arms of the Lord. After more than a year in a nursing home, she suffered a setback that she couldn't come back from.
She had a history of "mini-strokes" or TIA's over the past few years. She always battled back, but she always lost a step or two each time.
Two weeks ago, she suffered a severe hemorrhagic stroke. Bleeding on the brain finally left her helpless.
After a 5 day stay in the hospital, she was returned to the nursing home this past Tuesday. My two sisters sat with her during the day and I stayed with her overnights.
After a short conversation with her last night, which I'm not sure she heard or understood, one where I assured her that I would take good care of her daughters, she decided that she could stop worrying about them and let go.
It was peaceful.
She loved Jesus with all of her heart because she knew how much Jesus loved her.
I'm so sad and so happy, all at the same time.
Prayers for you and your loved ones, as well.
And welcome to FR.
Lord Jesus Christ, rest Thy servant Helena with the saints and comfort her family.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Many years ago I had a patient that was a 7 year old boy, coma, brain tumor and I would talk to him about how nice it was outside, sun shinning etc..he smiled...when his mother came in to rock him I told her I saw him smile, she said everyday when she picked him up to rock in the rocking chair he smiled at her also.....he passed on one day...peacefully..
Our tears are not for them, but for ourselves for we know where they have gone, that their time in this hell called life is over, and they are new and whole again.. When we grieve, we grieve for the times that we knew with them, when the whole world could be conquered because they had our backs.
Your family is in our prayers.
She is home. I endured a very hard struggle the day my Mother died 10 years ago. I cried hard.
I knew what had gone away. I shared all with my siblings, I still do to this day. I was her baby and I also was not near.
I received all of the squabbles and the insider information from her because quite frankly, I wasn’t home.
Your mother is with you. You will know it. Be Proud.
May She Rest in Peace and may You be Still in Spirit.
She will guide you now. Just watch.
God Bless
Requiescat in Pace
So sorry. You are her proud legacy. God Bless.
