Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.

But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:

"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.

As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...

Thanks for that post metmom...I knew there had been discussion about revealing your church etc. awhile back...an there's been more than one occasion where some will badger...using that...just as a distraction and or to disrupt the threads.

As Christians we know we have eternal life ‘already’....why would we be concerned of our death? ....of course I can understand why catholics might have a mindset about that since you’re constantly surrounded by images that have no life to them.

The Grand Mosque of Damascus Syria also claim to have the head of John the Baptist. This head is kept in a small chapel inside the Islamic dome...ROTHFLOL...but they have it turned and fully covered of course...LoL.....it's good for the money though...LoLol

However the Catholic Italian's claim, that the skull of the baptist is also to be found in Church of S.Sivestro in Rome
