Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.
But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:
"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.
As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...
As soon as Rome can show this 'love' in Scripture; you're going to have a really hard sell among folks who KNOW Scripture.
Christ: when He's convenient.
Nah...
When HE's shown.
pursuing INDEED!
(Check it out...)
You missed all the fun.
The smugness, hubris, and condescension emanating from all of the Catholic bashers on these religion forums never ceases to amaze me. The fact that you consider this behavior to be perfectly acceptable is astonishing. It certainly doesn’t seem to be Christ-like and loving, as Jesus directed us to behave.
I will ask the Holy Spirit to enter your hearts to guide you, as many of you appear to have lost your way; in Jesus’ name I pray.
It's also entirely possible that preserving their dead is a phenomenal waste of time and an exercise in futility.
And it's also possible that the time, money, and other resources spent on preserving their dead would be far better spend on the living to demonstrate the love of Christ to a lost and dying world.
Yep...

1)it reminded me of the saying “Why do you hate me, I never tried to help you.”
2) Too many time we intervene in God’s plans. People have to reach bottom before they cry out to God. Most of the time we intervene for our own purposes.
It certainly doesnt seem to be Christ-like and loving, as Jesus directed us to behave.
That's right because Jesus NEVER told us to engage in something so macabre.

And He can deliver y'all from your fetish with death to boot.
It's a good thing we have such fine examples of Catholics not bashing non-Catholics.

Being neither Roman Catholic or Protestant is a ticket to heaven.
Pointing out the paganism and corruption within the Catholic Church is indeed witnessing for the Lord.
Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Paganism and corruption is rampant within the teaching of the Catholic Church. God tells us that including practices mused by pagans to serve their gods is not to be used in serving Him.
Deuteronomy 12:3 And ye shall overthrow their altars, and break their pillars, and burn their groves with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods, and destroy the names of them out of that place. 4 Ye shall not do so unto the LORD your God.
Deuteronomy 12:30 Take heed to thyself that thou be not snared by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 Thou shalt not do so unto the LORD thy God:
There are e are specifically told not to incorporate those practices yet the Catholic Church readily admits that is exactly what they do. God calls it whoring around with other gods. That's why many believe the Catholic Church is the whore in Revelation.
Those here pointing out the errors of the Catholic Church are not wasting their time.
Why SELF flagellate when we can do it for you!!
I've still quite a few replies to read in this thread yet.
It'll be interesting to see how this teasing the dog through the fence with a stick continues...
