Pope Francis has been a breath of fresh air for many Catholics seeking greater liberty and a growing concern for conservative Christians who take issue with his comments about homosexuality and other cultural issues.
But the pontiff's latest statement is sparking an uproar from believers around the world. Pope Francis sent a tweet Tuesday that absolutely violates the truth of Scripture:
"The Christian who does not feel that the Virgin Mary is his or her mother is an orphan," Pope Francis tweeted.
As of the time I wrote this column it had been retweeted about 4,000 times and many of the responses were in appropriately unkind. It's not appropriate to attack the pope for his beliefs. It's more appropriate to share the truth...
That is sure different then the admonitulion in scripture to eat before so you were not hungry.
Just another area of disobedience.
Stupid phone puts letters in
Often times the message shows far far more than the spelling....those who correct the spelling...loose the message
Wow, think of all the positive things that could be achieved with the time that the Catholic Church-hating posters spend on here denigrating the Catholic faith. I guess they have more time than many of us here because they don’t actually belong to a church that requires any sort of attendance or help. It’s pretty sad actually, and it’s certainly not being a good witness for the Lord.
That's exactly right....also we consider the era those people were in...any true Christian were fortunate to come out of it all alive....
Luther's an interesting study though.....even if he got things wrong from being too close to the catholic church in the first place, just shows again how deeply embedded false teaching can go when you put 'your trust' in men rather than HE who knows the hearts and minds of all men..
It’s called discipline, and you obviously failed.
Showing pictures of what Catholicism is all about in practice is *denigrating* the Catholic church?
It doesn't say much about Catholicism if that's the case.
She was TEN YEARS OLD at the time.
Way to condemn a child.
And Catholics can't seem to figure out why people are leaving the church in droves and not interested in *swimming the Tiber*, right back into the *loving* arms of the Catholic church.

“Wow, think of all the positive things that could be achieved with the time the Protestant hating posters spend on here denigrating Protestants.........”. I fixed it.
Take it up with Him then, .....I have... and He's Good with ...
He taught us how to...
What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs--beautiful on the outside but filled on the inside with dead people's bones and all sorts of impurity. (Matt. 23:27)
BAM!
...trying to bring Martin Luther into the mix...yes let's distract from the ongoing thread of relics and idolatry the catholic church takes great pride in...that'll work....let's look at what they were doing then...
Ka-bom!.......God loves to use the willing!
Sale of Indulgences by catholic priests and the lot of them....making merchandise of the people...robbing them blind to build up the coffers of the Priesthood....
Do you think Jesus loves you, caww? Do you think he respects your words?
I wonder what they look like when they pray as they say this isn't praying?
No.....I "KNOW" that Jesus loves me..... Have you a problem with the assurance I have that I am His and HE is mine?????
