Yes, Mary was Jewish, but she became the main supporter of her Son, Christ, the Anointed One.

That must be why she is barely mentioned at all in the Scriptures.

If you read the Early Church Fathers you will find the answer to your question.

And in the Bible her last words direct everything to her Son, “Do whatever he tells you.”
