My heart breaks as I write this....as I have posted before....my daughter has been fighting Heroin addiction.
Yesterday....after entering sober living....she relapsed and OD'd. The medics brought her back....but we have no idea as to what to expect when we get to her....we are flying to her side as we speak...
Please pray for our daughter...pray for us...to allow for God's will and grace to find and cover her in His healing.
If you could ping the prayer warriors I would appreciate it....every prayer....every request is heard....thanks!

PR—Amanda is making amazing progress.
Praise the Lord that she is doing well. The healing process is slow, but steady.
The Lord has big plans for Amanda. He will use her to help others someday.
For now, she must concentrate on getting well.

You’ll all be “in recovery” for the rest of your lives. It can tax your strength almost beyond endurance and will make better people of you. One day at a time.
As I understand Christian Recovery groups, they are somewhat different, and I believe, more effective than regular 12-Step programs because people pray for one another’s “addict/alcoholics.”

Saw Amanda last night....it was late....but it is apparent the good Lord is performing a miracle....the difference when compared to two weeks ago is like night and day.....
Her left arm and hand are very functional....she is using it to pull and leverage herself when transferring from the wheel chair....100x better than when I left....her left ankle and foot are now getting some dexterity....she can move both...who knows what the future holds....but it is promising....
To think about how close we came to losing her....the pain and agony that we felt when she first woke up....when she could not move and her eyesight was almost gone....and now....praise be to God....a second chance....
Our prayers are being heard and acted upon....faith, hope and love....our God is with us....

Do they think that she is past the opiate withdrawal now? Or do they have her on pain meds? Meaning, as she recovers physically will she still have to battle those other demons too? Praying the worst is already behind her.
Withdrawal is done...no more meds....but that is just the beginning....
The demons will be faced for the rest of her life according to recovering addicts we have spoken with....her healing needs to not only be physical....she needs to transform her soul to follow more Godly pleasing passions...
I pray she understands how close to death she came....and how the good Lord has seen fit to provide another chance...

He is definitely not done with her. I am so glad she has this chance. I really do fear my kids getting involved with drugs. Your daughter has a long row to hoe and may her harvest be complete. Hugs.

Progress continues...Amanda grows stronger with more ability everyday....
Her one majo challenge is her left leg....it is far ahead of where it was two weeks ago....but stll needs more strength and conditioning work...if Amanda is to walk out of the hospital...
We are hoping those making decisions extend Amnda’s stay through 9/26...we’ll find out tomorrow....please pray that God’s will is for such....
Today Amanda and I attended a Celebrate Recovery meeting....a Christian based ministry for those having addiction issues....what a wonderful outreach....I pray my daughter continues with it....

...sure hit home tonight....God Bless all of them (and all of you)....many tears were shed when seeing Amanda attending....she is truly loved....I think she is starting to understand such....

Please thank the Lord for His intercession and blessings to date...and thank you for all your prayers....and....please keep praying for Amanda’a continued rehab....and that all future decisions are guided by God’s will...tomorrow we know if her stint will be exended through 9/26..I pray it is...!
