Last week I wrote about Glenn Becks recent sermon at Liberty University. In that post, I pointed out that Beck referred to the colored cloth triangles that the Nazis made concentration camp inmates wear to identify the reason for imprisonment. The last triangle he displayed to his audience was a purple triangle...

JAKraig “If The Mormons have a ritual that includes a dead persons name being said who cares? Or perhaps I should say Why would anyone care?”
_________________________________________
A Christian would never say this...
because God cares....
It's the height of hubris and arrogance to make such a statement and for a sect to use such a statement in order to justify the unBiblical rite in an attempt to dismiss those who would object.
"We're not hurting anyone, it's just that we're doing this for your own good, regardless of whether you believe in this or not."
I am of the position that none get to decide if any are harmed except for those who say they are harmed by the practice of this unBiblical ritual. The trick though is either stopping it beforehand or relatives finding out afterwards, isn't it? See, the mormons don't believe in the simple courtesy of confirming with family members of the "beneficiary" of their ritual whether or not it's ok to place their name on the roll.
If they supposedly stopped for the Jews, why won't they stop for Evangelicals, Methodists, Catholics, Protestants, etc. request it?
Christians who stand and object to this unBiblical ritual are chastised with statements such as this...in an attempt to downplay the spiritual and theological significance of a Christian's belief. To make them appear petty. Just another attempt at a "gotcha" by asking something, that for a secularist or mormon appears to be inconsequential when a Christian knows better.
Christians are admonished in the Bible not to entertain PAGAN ideals, concepts or rituals...the unBiblical baptisms in the unBiblical mormon temples are a part of that...just like eating food that has been consecrated to the pedophile moon god allah.
Read THIS part of my post again: "We Mormons, believing ourselves to be superior to all other faiths, take upon ourselves the right to insult non-mormons by desecrating their dead, and we don't give a damn if others object!"
If mormon cemetaries were visited, bodies dug up and desecrated, the "poor persecuted mormons" wail would be deafening.
The dead of Christian faiths are NOT made available for mormons to just co-opt for their silly temple rituals....using their names in these rituals is theft! Mormons steal the names and enter them in their records as being "baptized, confirmed as a member of the mormon church and "sealed" to another stolen person's name. These records are then archived and in the future it will appear that these souls voluntarily became members of the mormon church!
Mormon excuses are simply stating that THEY have the right to do this because they are "the one true and living church" and the dead of the world is nothing but fodder for their unChristian actions.
It is a disgusting practice!
The wrongful baptism of Jewish dead, which disparages the memory of a deceased person is a brazen act which will obscure the historical record for future generations. It has been bitterly opposed by many Jews for a number of years. Others say they will never stop being Jews, simply because there is a paper saying they had been baptized, that the act of posthumous baptism is unimportant and should be ignored. We think this to be a narrow, parochial, and shallow view. We will continue opposing this wrongful act which assimilates our dead to the point where it will not be possible to know who was Jewish in their lifetimes.
A protest drive initiated by Jewish genealogists escalated it to a nationally publicized issue that was followed by public outcry. American Jewish leaders considered it an insult and a major setback for interfaith relations. They initiated discussions with the Mormon Church that culminated in a voluntary 1995 agreement by the Church to remove the inappropriate names. Activists continue to monitor Mormon baptismal lists, seeking removal of inappropriate entries.
Has the church done anything to uphold its decade-old agreement with the Jewish community? The bad news is that the Mormons did (and still do) hijack Jewish genocide victims and other Jewish dead. Moreover, when a Jew is baptized, the door is open for all of his deceased ancestors to be baptized as well. Regrettably, their baptismal records place before the public a revisionist view that these deceased Jews were Mormons, a position they would have rejected in life.
The Issue of The Mormon Baptisms of Jewish Holocaust Victims and Other Jewish Dead
You are right, it is a DISGUSTING practice. It is also deceitful and arrogant! God bless you and yours, Grey, for fighting the good fight.
Amen. Well said.

The Mormon baptismal rite is conducted as follows:
That’s just creepy. Wow! Recruiting and claiming converts after they’re dead.
Note: The statement "Having been commissioned of Jesus Christ" claim has no authority for ANY ordinances that bind God or Jesus, since it all came from the fiction of the mormon doctrine.
Yeah several if not all the Catholic popes,
Hitler, Anne frank and a lot of the Jewish victims of the Holocaust,
Jesus Christ...several times to make sure he was good and saved...and they temp-le married him to Mary and Martha and Mary Magdalene..
all of the Founding Fathers...
Lots of my ancestors before and after Joey Smith...all of them died as happy Christians...
Stanley Ann Dunham the mother of Obama was dead dunked and sealed to her son June 2008 thus making him the very first Mormon president ...and the irony...a black man...
and so on..
The dead dunking and sealing and temple marriages and annointings and endowments 1dt and 2nd cannot be reversed..
the dead person wound have to say they don’t want to be dead dunked in the Mormon cult..
and as yet that has never happened..
so there is no way to be excommunicated as a dead convert..or go apostate...
and the dead get all that having paid not one slim red cent to the Mormon business scam...
Wow. And people think Michael Jackson was weird. Mormonism’s “dead dunking” makes him look almost normal!
Amazing scam, isn’t it? BTW Happy Mother’s Day, m’Lady.
Thank you M...
Today is my son’s birthday...hes 40...
He was born on Mother’s Day
:)
Well; LDS really don't do THIS part; that would REALLY make the religion look dumb!
I assume you are looking at THIS: ... is based on the belief that baptism is a required ordinance for entry into the Kingdom of God.
There are OTHER things that are also 'required'.
In Mormonism, the concept of divinity centers around an idea of "exaltation" and "eternal progression": the idea that mortals themselves may become gods and goddesses in the afterlife, be rulers of their own heavenly kingdoms, have spirit children, and increase in power and glory forever as a result of their posterity. Mormons understand that there are many gods and goddesses in the cosmos, including a Heavenly Mother. However, the three persons of the Christian Trinity (God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost) are to be the only objects of worship.
In Mormonism, the goal of each adherent is to achieve "exaltation" via the atonement of Jesus, as a result of which they inherit all the attributes of God the Father, including godhood. Mormons believe that these people will become gods and goddesses in the afterlife, and will have "all power, glory, dominion, and knowledge".[6] Moreover, Mormons teach that exalted people will live with their earthly families and also "have spirit children".[7] Their posterity will continue to grow forever.
According to the belief, exaltation is available only to those who have earned the highest "degree" of the celestial kingdom.[8] As prerequisites for this "greatest gift of God",[9] adherents believe that either in this life or the afterlife, they must become "perfect" and they must participate in all the required ceremonies. Though not necessary, their exaltation can be "sealed upon them" by the Holy Ghost via the Second Anointing. One of the key qualifications for exaltation is being united in a celestial marriage to an opposite-sex partner via the ordinance of sealing,[10][11] either in person or by proxy after they have died. In the 19th century, some leaders of the LDS Church taught* that participation in plural marriage was also a requirement of exaltation.[12] The LDS Church abandoned the practice over a century ago and teaches that only a single celestial marriage is required for exaltation.[13]
* it's in the Scriptures: D&C 132:16-25
Some modern LDS Church leaders have taught that there are people living on other earths. For instance, apostle Joseph Fielding Smith (18761972) wrote:
"We are not the only people that the Lord has created. We have brothers and sisters on other earths. They look like us because they, too, are the children of God and were created in his image, for they are also his offspring."[40]
and
"...the great universe of stars has multiplied beyond the comprehension of men. Evidently each of these great systems is governed by divine law; with divine presiding Gods, for it would be unreasonable to assume that each was not so governed."[41]
Apostle Neal A. Maxwell (19262004) wrote, "we do not know how many inhabited worlds there are, or where they are. But certainly we are not alone."[42]
I would think so.
