Please post a source for that. Maybe there is something in writing to give us a clue as to the thinking.

We've been there, done that FRiend: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-religion/2962798/posts

An updated link to the *Jonah Code*, since the ones at the thread no longer work, for those interested in knowing the truth of what really happened and when - it's way more awesome than what we've been taught btw: The Jonah Code

The above is just one of many studies into the actual timeline. Much information is available online for those who which to pursue the matter.

I went on a trip with Steve (former Baptist minister) and Janey Ray. In Jerusalem we went to the HOUSE of Caiaphas. Every one lived in caves, or parts of caves. The area is honeycombed with them.

The "nicer" caves had wooden floors built in them. We visited the house of Caiaphas. When telling people of this I start to cry.
There was a deep PIT (maybe 15-20 feet deep) in his "home" cave...and that is where Jesus was placed the night before he died. Jesus spent his last hours, not fed and stuck at the bottom of a pit.
How absolutely HORRIBLE for the Son of God.
I simply could NOT believe it: the visual impact, the smell, the rocky-hard surface of the cave, the muted echos in the large cave-home, the coldness of the cave.

I think that EVERY Christian ought to save his/her pennies and visit the Holy Land. Those Christians who do are CHANGED forever. I was.

From Google:
Joseph Caiaphas, known simply as Caiaphas (Greek: Καϊάφας) in the New Testament, was the Jewish high priest who is said to have organized the plot to kill Jesus. Caiaphas is also said to have been involved in the Sanhedrin trial of Jesus.

The Babylonian Talmud (Yevamot 15B) gives the family name as Kuppai, while the Jerusalem Talmud (Yevamot 1:6) mentions Nekifi. The Mishnah, Parah 3:5 refers to him as Ha-Koph (the monkey), a play on his name for opposing Mishnat Ha-Hasidim.

According to the Gospel accounts, Caiaphas was the major antagonist of Jesus. An ossuary with the name "Joseph son of Caiaphas" was found in Jerusalem in 1990. The authenticity of that discovery has been challenged by some scholars on various grounds.

Luke 24:21 “ yes, and besides all this, IT IS NOW THE THIRD DAY SINCE THIS HAPPENED”

Luke 24:1 “ but on the first day of the week”

Ok, i know the school systems in this country are pretty bad, but are there still people who can’t count to three left??

apparently so.

for those in rio linda land, we know Jesus rose on the first day of the week, so let’s count backwards together to find out on what day He was crucified and was buried:

1st day of the week - day 3
7th day sabbath - day 2
friday - day 1

let’s count forward:

friday - day 1
7th day sabbath - day 2
1st day of the week - the third day

what do you know, what Christians have believed and what the Scriptures clearly teach IS TRUE!!

i know that’s a ROOD awakening for some folks.

How many times did we go over this in the other thread friend?! We'll just have to agree to disagree it seems. I'll leave you with this again though:

An obviously impossible timeline to fulfill the 3 day, 3 night prophecy:

What we know for sure is that Yeshua rose at sundown, at the beginning of the first day of the Biblical week.

Catholics go by pagan days, so by their calendar, he rose on Saturday evening.

Yeshua’s disciples know that they dined with him in the early evening, one day before Passover, and the day after Passover Joseph and Nicodemus bought burial salves and wrappings, and went to wrap Yeshua’s body in the tomb, so it was not yet Shabbat, or they could not have done that, and the gospels definitely say that they did it. We know that Nicodemus would have been stoned to death by his Pharisee cohorts if he had done this on a high day, or Shabbat, and he was not stoned.

Using one’s head and a basic understanding of Hebrew tradition and Torah law, one sees that the RCC garbage is totally unbelievable.
