More evidence of the great falling away.

Next, he’ll join Frances in tacitly approving homosexual unions.

Finally some good news.

While I shouldn’t, I have to admit how much I’m enjoying the protestant “christians” in this thread weeping and gnashing of teeth. I know I shouldn’t enjoy it, but I just can’t help myself.

Checked out his website and doctrine.
He just retired from his church.
His church website has no doctrinal statement.
His ministry is named after him. So you know he’s humble.
Wiki indicates he is a Swedish version of Osteen. Money, material prosperity and health are high priorities.

Congrats, church of Rome. You caught a real trophy.

Protestantism in the Scandinavian countries has been a very weak faith. Hardly anyone there goes to church. Maybe the fact that Catholics are in a minority makes them more faithful in their Christianity there. That may be part of the reason why he was attracted to the Catholic Church in the first place. The Swedish Lutheran Church embraces modernism above being true to the Gospel of Jesus, IMHO. Obviously he felt a need to take this step toward the Catholic Church.

In the USA, we have a rather significant Catholic population who are still faithful Christians, and ditto for the Evangelicals. Among many of the other Protestant groups, it is rather hit and miss as to how much their faith really influences their lifestyles
Christian faith is in a state of flux, and those who are true believers will eventually be winnowed from the chaff.

Sorry, a story like this proves nothing.

The main thing anyone needs to know about the church of Rome is that Paul’s LETTER to the ROMANS still applies .....

It is amazing how appropriate Romans was to the Romans, and how that letter STILL speak to Rome’s errors.

“On my Catholic education:

8 years Catholic grade school

4 years Catholic high school

Weekly CCD classes by quite conservative Novus Ordo RCC priest

Parents subscribed to National Catholic Register, the Wanderer, Fidelity and The Remnant, and I read them while growing up.

I subscribed to Fidelity and Remnant in undergrad college and never stopped contending against modernism in the Catholic Church.”

He is becoming a “charismatic Catholic.”

Dime to a dollar that his conversion is temporary.

The Pope threw Matthew Fox out of the Catholic Church...

Here is an example on how satan joins the church and manipulates people. In my travels studying mind control techniques and religious manipulation I visited this guy several times...... the video shows and explains his rave mass services.

He has no idea what he is doing... It’s not religion.

I am surprised that there was a mega-church in Sweden. I know that the Evangelical Lutheran church is the state church—but who goes to church in Sweden? Interesting that this guy’s wife’s name is Birgitta—she is the patron Saint of Sweden. She lived in the 1300s. Good luck. I wonder how many native Swedes are catholic? There is a huge immigrant population maybe some Italians, Spaniards Portuguese?

Just a reminder: Protestantism was founded by a Catholic priest.

You know what Freerepublic needs? More arguments between Catholics and Protestants. It’s obviously the best way to promote Conservatism and defeat Democrats.
